You didn't answer my other questions though. Namely, what do you see in this horse, or know about him, that makes you so high on his future?

That was pretty impressive, especially with how wide he went, how green he was, and how geared down he was at the end.

I just watched a super nice Godolphin 2yo in England win his debut a month ago. He opened up 7 in the lane before being geared down. The horse he put away to open up by 7 ended up closing the cap to 3-4.

He's by Shamardal and his second dam is Urban Sea.

Oh yeah, the name is Burj Nahar.

For those that don't remember that sire, Shamardal, he won 6 of his 7 starts. His lone loss came on his one dirt try in Dubai. Half of those 6 wins were in grade 1s, including the French Derby. He made a hair under 2 mil.

He is by Giants Causeway out of a full sister to Street Cry.

This has got to be one of the best bred 2yos out there.

Don't know about under the radar, but Super Saver looks like a promising horse for Todd P. Already has 172K in the bank, and set a new stakes record winning in impressive style last Sat. at Churchill.

I'll be watching Aikenite closely. Stalked and won at 1st asking going 6f, then closed from dead last in the Hopeful going 7f to finish 3rd. Then moved to synthetics stretching out. Think this one may be able to move forward back on dirt.

Since breaking his maiden first out in the slop at Hawthorne for Dale Romans
My Time To Star. He was passed then re rallied very nicely to win. He won a $100,000 stake in his second start by 7 or 8 lengths, very impressive. Now he's in tomorrow night's Delta Jackpot, and I think he will be tough. I thought I heard him brought up on ATR the other day? I'll be keeping an eye on this Five Star Day colt.

Yeah, I think it was Steve that brought him up, cause I wrote it down too.

I was pretty high on a 2 year old named Bear's Hard Ten up until his last race. He ran lousy in an allowance race at Woodbine and he didn't appear to have any excuses. We'll see if he can bounce back tomorrow. He's running in a stakes race at Woodbine tomorrow. If he runs the way he is capable of running, I think he can win. I'm just not sure which horse will show up tomorrow after the poor effort in his last race. The fact that Reade Baker is running him in this stakes race after the poor effort in the allowance race is a good sign. You wouldn't think they would run him in this spot if he wasn't doing well. Maybe they corrected whatever it was that caused him to run so poorly last time. He's had 6 weeks off since that race and he's showing some good works. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

There is a 4x4 Mr Prospector, 5x4 Northern Dancer. Nothing new there . Tail male Northern Dancer crossed with tail male Northern Dancer . Again, a routine cross.
Shamardal is a full to Street Cry not Burj Nahar. BN's dam, Malikah, has produced nothing of note on the track to date. However, 2nd dam Urban Sea is compelling.

Shamdaral is a half to Street Cry, not a full.

But yeah, you were right in implying that my post wasn't very clear when I was talking about who was related to Street Cry.

I don't know if any of you saw the race today, but he did run the way I always thought he was capable of running. He won by 5 lengths. I was disappointed with the price. He only paid $7.60. He had just gotten crushed in a nwx1 allowance race. The race today was a $150,000 stakes race. It was only a 7 horse field, but I would have still expected to get 5-1.

How about the Jerkens first timer today at Aqueduct, he spots the field almost 10 lenghts and wins for fun. Bet off the tote early. Afleet Alex is the sire.

Im kinda excited to see this one run first time dirt at Gulfstream.

I hope he can run as well on dirt as synthetic. He does have some grass breeding on his bottom side. His dam's dam is by Diesis (GB). Some horses that have some grass breeding on the bottom side run better on synthetic than regular dirt. Although this horse has a half-brother that won on the dirt. I'm not sure about his half-sister. I don't have her PPs.

Anyway, my best guess is that Bear's Hard Ten will handle regular dirt but we won't know for sure until he tries it.

By the way, things are starting to pick up for RHT a little bit. This is his 2nd stakes winner in the last week.

Was looking at Tiz Chrome's female family (anybody got a picture of TC himself?) and realized his dam's half to Designed for Luck who appears to've vanished into the ether. Does anybody know what happened to him?

Actually still not quite there. Shamardal's dam Helsinki is a full sister to Street Cry, her being by Machiavellian out of Helen Street. Shamardal's not full or half anything to SC, I guess you say he's 'from the immediate family of' or something?

BHT's half-sis was 22/4-3-4 on dirt, all in sprints, with a high Beyer of 72.

No worries. ;) We've all been there. I rewatched the race again and wow Tiz Chrome's face is striking. All of him really, they weren't kidding with the chrome reference.

I noticed after the Lost Code discussion regarding Lost Aptidude and Maximus Ruler that Tiz Chrome and Walking the Beach are both out of Woodman mares.
