Let Monterey Jazz roll uncontested on the front end and he will CRUSH. Was such a nice horse last year, hopefully he's back on the right track. $5 says his mile time is faster than the Shoemaker tomorrow by at least 3/4 of a second.

How far is that time off the record.

23 3/5, 23, 22 4/5, 23 2/5. That is ridiculously impressive. He did the same thing down in Texas on the dirt.

Hollywood grass has been kind to speed it seems.
Lone Star has always been a speed way.

5) $1 sup 278/278/278/46 bet $12 lost

infield_line 05-24-2009 07:50 PM

surprised that there is a HOL carryover

none of the winners were bombs.. I personally was distracted by the barby and overlooked a completely plausible Charlies Moment in the feature let go at 5-1 that toasted my P3.......

God I hate that track. Seem like there are a lot of strange things that happen there. Form just never seems to hold very well and makes you wonder what kind crap is going on.

tanner12oz 05-24-2009 08:01 PM

anyone else think the 8th @ hollywood exacta was a hair low??? 6/1 over a 5/1 with the 4/5 chalk running out? paid $72 was thinking it would come up around 90-100

infield_line 05-24-2009 08:08 PM

Love the quote.....

It was good until about 2 weeks ago. Now, a couple horses each race seem to like the track, and usually not the ones who liked it a month ago.

Skoal Ring is my boy. It seems like every time I'm playing Mountaineer, he's running. I'm always putting ten bucks on that guy. Of course, I've been losing with him...

At 6/1, here's hoping he gets good again. Third off, Rivera back on, lost a speed dual to a next out winner last time, speed dual with a dog this time...

Skoal Ring!

dean smith 05-24-2009 08:58 PM

R.I.P.

Skoal Ring is clearly dead.

Just watched.. Does appear his best are behind him.

dean smith 05-24-2009 09:06 PM

Six months ago they wouldn't have caught him. That was a steady fade from second into oblivion.

I feel like I should send him a card or something.
