He's old school... like from the good old days when ships were made of wood and Men were made of steel..... and the women were glad of it!

O.K., Phils/ Dodgers. It's war. We aren't scoring much right now. We struggle against Hamels, n' usually feast on Moyer. Kershaw is Kershaw. You'll probably beat us 3-1 or so on Thursday, and hopefully we'll punish the old man Friday Night. Sat/Sunday is anybody's guess. Heard the bastard was pretty good for ya yesterday.

It will be war! The Phils are hot right now & the Dodgers have been hot all season..

Bastardo looks like he's going to be the starter on Sunday Night Baseball... so it will be great to see him in action..

Good luck Scuds, this should be a great series!!

Oh and I think you jinxed Vicotorino cause he hurt his hip in last nights game... hopefully will be active for the series though (I dont know the extent of the injury)

To be re-evaluated tomorrow. Is this a new injury, or an old one? Didn't your 2nd baseman have hip trouble last year?

Yeah Utley struggled with hip problems the whole second half of the season last year. He had surgury right after we won the WORLD SERIES :D :D :D

(it still feels great to type that)

He says he feels like a new man this year... and it having a tremendous season!

I'm not sure about Victorino but I dont recall him having hip problems.

Ain't any kind of sex that is as good as that Friday Night moment.

Which video is more painful?

I'm just mess'n with ya. It's become a definite rivalry now. Phils are the better team, but the Dodgers will keep ya honest.

Throw in the fact that Chuckles failed to put a defensive shift on for Ethier. Theres no excuse for Bruntlett not hugging the foul line more than he was. Two bonehead mistakes like that can ruin all the good things the pitching staff has done lately.

That's true(about Ethier hitting it down that right field line.) Was a bad pitch though(I guess Lidge thought he was gunna be female n' take the 1st pitch like every other Dodger batter last night.) The ball hit to Feliz wasn't as easy a ball as it seems. Had quite a bit of a top spin arc towards 3rd base. He should of made the play, but it's not as bad a botch as Hudson blowing the doubleplay ball. Look, the ump gave Lidge a gift to start the inning. There's no way that low outside pitch to Furcal was a strike (although this guy probably would of struck out swinging wildly on the next junk pitch.) Furcal has aged 5 years in 9 months. Blackthroated Wind aged 10 years in 2 years. It happens. That's a fill-in ump from the minors. I can see why so many on the internet want him to go back there quickly. He was calling the low extreme corners for the Phillies all night, but didn't give it to Milton at all. Weird ump. Didn't feel like a big league ump was back there. Why would you have a minor league fill-in ump call balls n' strikes twice in 7 days? He's a fkn band-aid.

SCUDSBROTHER 06-06-2009 12:34 PM

When the Dodgers get a walk-off win, they have that "I Love L.A" song ready to pour acid on the other team. What do the Phil's use? What song or sound effect? Canons Going off?

SCUDSBROTHER 06-06-2009 12:43 PM

That juicer LO DUCA is all over TVG now. Can't find the correct verb tense when using his own native language (so Mullins-like.)

It's not unreal. It's the way it should be. If they want full seats, then they can stop charging $15 for a car to park. You seem to think this is an inexpensive endeavor. Some people have discipline.

They've turned it into going to a football game(once a week situation.)

New York has Wall Street bail out money, and subways make it easy to go to the games.

SCUDSBROTHER 06-06-2009 07:22 PM

Ethier is a weird dude. When he plays like this, he's so good at coming back from a 2 strike count, and waiting for a pitch he can drive. For some reason, he can't stay at this level. He always slumps after these spurts. He has the potential to play like this most of the time. That's why you see Joe pointing his finger at him at the end of the clip. He's trying to get him to stop having those slumps n' spurts.

SCUDS my man! Was a good series... Pitching was good on both sides. I was real impressed with Phillies starting pitching, though Bastardo had a very nice 2nd outing yesterday, and surprised Chan HO Park actually pitched okay!

2 bad bottom of the 9th for the Phils or else we coulda had a sweep :D but thats why it aint over til the fat lady sings!

IF these two teams meet each other in the NLCS, it will be a great series!

I'm just happy our pitching is coming around (save one guy who played a major part in us winning the World Series last year by going 47-47 in save opportunities.. but he gets a pass because of that... for now)

point 1 - don't agree with , that does not explain the sellouts

point 2 - my bad , i agree with that , just assumed mass transit in LA can get the poeple to the games , obviously not the case
