come on...2 weeks rest....I agree with your point, but you are being extreme, and your comments on the Belmont are taking it a little far.

Friesan Fire...don't think he goes.

Right now the great 'Bandini'... looks like Secretariat compared to Dunkirk.

Ha, this is true. But I don't think you can totally discount the horse off one bad performance in the Derby, the same race which about 17 other horses clunked their way around the track.

How am I being extreme?

True, you can't. Obviously he has issues, when a TP trainee doesn't make his debut till 3 you have to think he has soundness issues. Coincidentally just as Bandini did.

I think Stew Elliott would be great for MTB. Now there's a story line.

Extreme....this is a silly response to my comment of waiting 5 weeks for the Belmont vs your thought to run back on two weeks rest

If they get Chantal they may as well stay home!!

I think the chief difference between Rags to Riches and Rachel Alexandra is that Rags to Riches had the proven distance breeding. RA is really well bred too though.

I wasn't trying to be coy or sarcastic... if Jess Jackson wrote a check for $10 million, I would be surprised if the Preakness wasn't on the ledger. While I would understand waiting for the Belmont, I think the Preakness makes sense for just as many reasons, if not more.

Really is a great storyline.

Helping my price on Big Drama. :)

The article about Wiggins losing her on the Bloodhorse mentions since she'll have to be supplemented, she might not even get in because those horses have last dibs getting into the race?

No Jockey has milked their looks as much as her, I think she has improved abit since riding in So Cal but she's awful and my opinion wouldn't change if she was a he, shemale, martian, ect...

In the Bloodhorse article on Wiggins it says Mike Smith is being mentioned to ride Mine That Bird.

King Glorious 05-07-2009 12:54 PM

Question. Say 14 enter the Preakness and Rachel can't get in. Would you let Borel back on Mine that Bird even though he was ready to abandon you for the filly?

Does Borel have to be let out of his committment to Mine that Bird in order to ride Rachel?

Isn't there some kind of penalty that stewards give a jockey for not honoring a call? Does it work in reverse?
