Heatseeker was the real deal, its a shame that he was injured.

Because she has been running in races restricted to only mares, not races open to all older horses. Like it or not, open races are the gold standard.

lol
whatever. sorry, i don't think an open race necessarily has a tougher field than a restricted race. the distaff division seemed more exciting all year long than the 'handicap' division. i think this comes down to the same type thinking that demands #1 male blue crab cost more than #1 females...

there's no way to definitely prove the females were better than the males!! they may have been like everyone has been trying to tell me, but i like seeing clear evidence.

you're right-but there's no reason to automatically assume the males were better, based mainly on the fact they are males-i don't think anyone can say definitively that the males are automatically the better group year in and year out. by the same token, i said zenyatta shouldn't get hoy-since they didn't attempt open competition with her. that would have answered the question for sure.

We could use the process of elimination. Just have POINTGIVEN1985jcs11204hrfandagulla name names, whomever doesn't get his endorsement, is HOY.

Simple.

I don't think it was a bad effort. What horse could realistically close into a slow pace like that?

i don't understand why people think he could rule the crowd this year-he has to have things just so; not exactly the mark of a top class horse. now, he's been useful, and has won some money-but only when all the conditions are right.

Tiago is Perfect Drift-esque... doesn't win, but collects checks.

It's amazing how many times females tell me that. Mostly my nieces though.

Tiago is screaming out for dirt! The Handicap Div. is up for grabs in the East. Great time for a filly to step out. I hate Poly but that's where the better horses seem to be, and they don't seem better than much. Top Handicap horse? COMMENTATOR!

I had Magnum in my pick 4, but couldn't find Italian Rules and I singled Mo Cheese in the night cap. Vic I think your rider is putting his mounts in the right place and beating the other boys to the punch. Keep up the good work.

I mean look at where Champs Elysees finished...7th was he? Isn't he a lot better than that?
