ok, well...if someone stole something from me, i'd call the police, rather than hire a bunch of goons, and go into a room with guns drawn. i'd say that if anyone is over-exaggerating, it's simpson and his 'story' of how he was just trying to retrieve what was his. maybe he just felt it was 'his' because it has his name signed on it.
as for 'no one was hurt', that has nothing to do with it. a whole lot of people sitting in jail right now wish they could use that defense, which really isn't one.
and i disagree that the sentence in this case was for others as well. it's in line with the crimes he was charged with and found guilty of committing.
