I'm jumping the gun a bit on this, but 20 days have now passed and my guess is when this post was made by you, you failed to look at the Cavs schedule in those next 30 days. Obviously that is all that is going on here as an 18-3 record with an equipment manager as coach has nothing to do with anything. It is indeed a massive failure by Mike Brown to not be 21-0 at this point of the season. Incredibly, Cav managment with superior coaches to Mike Brown in Randy Wittman, Sam Mitchell, Eddie Jordan, PJ Carlesimo all having been fired recently have failed to hire any of them yet..and continue to persist with the equipment manager at the helm. Simply stupendous. Nonetheless after two losses to Philly, and losses to Minnesota and Atlanta, they'll still stand at 18-7 after those 30 days. They won't be "just above".
(call me crazy, but I don't care who else is on the team, any coach that gets to an NBA finals with a starting backcourt of Larry Hughes and Sasha Pavlovic may just be getting close to shhhhhh...capital G...capital R capital E...capital A...capital T as a head coach in the Association. )
Smoke on that one awhile!!! :D :D :D
The 2007 and 2008 seasons of the Cavs are two of the best back to back coaching jobs in my entire lifetime by a coach in the city of Cleveland. I'll reserve judgement on the 2009 season til it's completed but I think they'll at least get to .500 for the season before it's over.
