You are assuming that Duke of Marmalade will like the track....

I disagree, with all the doubts, and all the stupid money that people like you will be putting on Casino Drive, he might be above even money for the first time in a semi-dirt race(before the synethic police come and nab me), in a long time.

If I am in the position to play a healthy p6 ticket, I will be singling him, with confidence

Good luck man, your ticket will be more then the $200 i bet on the entire card.

1403 Tiago +2050
1404 Duke of Marmalade +845

1408 Ravens Pass +625

32.5-1 on Champs Elysees would be a gift. . .

It isn't about how much you are spending on a race card, but how you allocate those funds. I have no idea how I am going to play Friday and Saturday, but what I do know that if I find a P3 sequence that I feel confident in, I am going to attack it, and if for some reason I can acculminate a decent bankroll by the BC Mile(not likely with the way it has been going but POSITIVE THINKING STARTS NOW), I plan on maybe taking a shot at the P6, given I think I have to singles in Street Boss and Curlin

For me, I can approach it three ways:

From the turf-synthetic positive correlation angle, and upgrade the Euro's Raven's Pass, Duke of Marmalade and Henrythenavigator(perhaps do a 3 horse exacta box). But, their trainers have a poor history shipping in,none have a synthetic race under them or listed works.

Lone speed is here in Fairbanks. But, he, too, is untested on synthetic, and fared poorly in his two turf attempts, so I won't bother with this disappointment underneath in my exotics

I'll go with an exacta box of the steady Curlin, (training here and whose shame was a 2nd in a Grade I grass race) with Casino Drive, who is the X factor. He is 3-3, has a win at the track, and blew away Mint Lane as easily as Big Brown did

I'll be very interested at how the odds will end up in this race, and the rest of the Cup races

Betting question for Saturday's BCC:

If I want to take a chance on the 8 & 9 horses not hitting the board, and key every remaining trifecta possibility, how much would that cost me?

Maybe I need to rethink my strategy. I had no idea. Thank you!

Fixed odds for the Classic have not changed at TheGreek from those I posted above.

Pinnacle now has a few matchups for the Classic. They also have matchups for Fridays races. Here are the ones for the Classic:

Breeders' Cup Classic: Matchups
Sat 10/25 Race 9 : Curlin vs Field
03:25 PM 235 Curlin +216
236 Field -236

Sat 10/25 Race 9 : Henrythenavigator vs Raven's Pass
03:25 PM 237 Henrythenavigator -123
238 Raven's Pass +107

Sat 10/25 Race 9 : Go Between vs Colonel John
03:25 PM 239 Go Between -170
240 Colonel John +150

Sat 10/25 Race 9 : Student Council vs Champs Elysees
03:25 PM 241 Student Council +129
242 Champs Elysees -145

"+216" means you get 2.16 to 1 on Curlin. "-236" means you have to bet $2.36 to profit $1 (you'd get back $3.36 for a $1 bet on the field, which in this case is every horse but Curlin.

He's probably as good a chance, if not better, than Curlin to take the track. I think this track equalizes everyone, turf or dirt, but I don't buy that there are many horses that don't take to it at all.
