I still want to know why he would have hired African-Americans and put them in top positions on his staff if he truly hated black people. You said that he was not politically correct. So if he wasn't politically correct, then why would he have had people of color in top positions on his staff if he had a strong dislike of people of color?

Now I am pretty sure I did not mention anything about
African Americans. I did mention the Civil Rights, but let
Morton check to see if I lied.

Maybe he had African Americans on his staff to boss them
around, how the heck would I know... I am sure a lot of
racists work with and hire people that are competent. How does
this deliver them from having racists ideas?

If I was a betting man, I would bet that a true racist would not hire African Americans and put them in top positions on his staff. That seems very unlikely to me. It's possible but it is unlikely.

What percentage of parents in this country would want their daughter to marry someone of another race? I don't know the answer but I don't think the percentage would be very high. If your definition of being a racist is a parent who would not want their daughter to marry someone of another race, then I would guess that well over 50% of Americans are racists.

There you go. Helms' detractors don't like to mention stuff like that. They conveniently only give you one side of the story.
