Yes. I would give him the one punch round.
Poor Woody. They just herded him around after
that. Poor ole guy with big thick glasses and dementia.

HE was pissed all that year...it was his last and they made him give up the triple option offense and play freshman future convict and multiple felon Art Schlichter that year and start throwing the ball. Earle Bruce got hired immediately after that game and he and Art spent the next 3 years betting the ponies extensively!!

With that said, if USF isn't that great, how did Auburn get beat by 'not taking a good team seriously?' There's not a doubt in my mind that USF is a good team this season... do I think they'll win out their season? Nope, but they deserve to be at the top right now since they've done nothing wrong yet.

That's all I was saying. Thank you for agreeing J.

Untill then, all I can believe is they don't belong anywhere near the top 10. I would give them 11 in a heartbeat.

Are you talking about Ohio State or Boston College?

Yawn...

You are right, Elon, at Auburn, UNC, FAU, WV, UCF, Rutgers, UConn, Cinci, Syracuse, L'ville, and Pitt are as scary as....

Wake, NC St, UMass, Army, Bowling Green, at GT, at ND, at VT, Fl St, at Maryland, at Clemson, and Miami...

and...

Youngstown St, Akron, at Washington, Northwestern, Minnesota, at Purdue, Mich St, at Penn St, Wisconsin, Illinois, and at Mich...

Sorry, but if I wanted wins, and not of the quality kind, would take the USF schedule any day (espically down the stretch!)...

These Johnny Rebs don't follow classic lines of logic.

Don't forget...they are the man in the gray suit.

So you are saying that playing ND, Wisconsin, Penn state, Miami, Ga Tech is tougher than playing Cincy, Louisville, or Rutgers ? Have you seen any of the above teams play lately? Auburn and WV are better than any teams in the Big 10 or ACC with the exception of Ohio State. Illinois QB is hurt, Purdue cant stop anyone, VT is one dimensional, FSU is average at best, Michigan is spotty...
The case can be made that the schedules are pretty close to even but there is no way that anyone can say that OSU or BC's schedule is tougher than SF's. Maybe in a traditional sense but the fact is that the 'midmajor' type teams like Cincy and Rutgers are a lot better than their history suggests. The smaller teams have caught up and with spread offenses and scholarship reductions and the fact that almost every major conference game is televised means that kids can go to a mid major type and play and get exposure as opposed to the old days where they would rot on a big teams bench.

Sorry, but I respectfully, and emphatically disagree that Cincy, Louisville and Rutgers are scary.

OSU and BC play tougher schedules, espically down the stretch. The Big East gets credit for still being a tough conference, but I think they are the worst of the BIG Conferences. I wish Clemson was in the Big East! It would be much easier to play Syracuse, Cinci, Rutgers, UConn, etc. WVU is tough, and I give USF, and the coaching staff credit. They found a way to beat Rich Rodriguez, and Rich hasn't found a way to beat USF.

USF is not a top 10 team, just like Rutgers wasn't last year. They should be treated the same way a Boise St or Hawaii should...good, very good, but not great.

That said, I truely agree with the statement in bold! As I have said before in this thread, I love the parity in College Football now. Any good team can beat a very good team on any Saturday. It makes it more enjoyable. However, just because you play well for 2 important games, and beat up on inferior teams the rest of the season doesn't make you #2 in the nation. I hope USF goes undefeated. Then they will get blown out in a bowl game, and we will all bitch about how it was boring, and they didn't belong. Put the USF in the SEC this year, and they are middle of the pack. I would even go as far as to say they wouldn't win their division in the ACC. They are good, but not top 10 in my mind.

ARyan I hope you don't gamble on college football because you are clueless. It's laughable.

I see you are a millionarie due to your wagering, and no, I don't gamble on College Football...

Winning a point spread bet is much much different the playing straight up...

You have shown your true genius once again....

To be fair, I don't think it is logic, just opinion.

However, OSU or BC would beat USF 9 times out of 10 this year, IMO.

Sorry, but I don't fall in lust with these flash in the pan teams...(See Maryland in 2001, Tulane in 1998, Utah in 2004)

Yes and my last wager was a moneyline bet as well as a few others including the BCS championship last year.

Your points are meaningless because you highlighted Michigan State and Purdue as tough teams and excluded Auburn. You're about as useful as s.hit in a diaper.
