This could get me some negative press but Affirmed dissapointed me.Alydar was a much better sire.

no doubt citation deserves mention--by the legend known as bull lea, and one heck of a racehorse. did diddly in the shed.

far more recently, and i'm surprised no mention of him--war emblem!! has got to be a huge disappointment.

War Emblem just refuses to do the deed. I think we are talking about bad progeny not a lack of ie Cigar etc.

Affirmed seems to do ok as a Dam sire. Horses who's dam was sired by Affirmed do really well on the turf.

well, i figure if cigar qualifies, then war emblem must as well. it's a shame cig was sterile.

I believe Cigar was rendered infertile. Quite a big difference.
