I often wonder how many people would be selecting, considering, etc. names like Tagg (pre-Funny Cide), Matz (pre-Barbaro), Albertrani (pre-Bernardini), Servis (pre-Smarty Jones), and so on.

I am certain some would.

Eric

I would take Matz. Like him for his hunter/jumper background. :)

Me too, but that's pretty biased of me. I'll stick with Chuck.

Perhaps I'll have Joel buy me a horse and I can actually take you up on that offer.

I guess I might want to let Joel know... haha.

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest bit. Ok... back on topic.

due to location I would take a shot with Chris Block with a grass horse. He's had a bit of a slump but then
so have I

but I look forward to making a trip to New Orleans

Yet she has no problem stalking him around the country and sticking a camera in his face while he's three feet away.

obviously im biased towards my trainer AE but other than him in chicago id definately go with christine janks, excellent at developing a young horse and has great help working for her which never hurts

I would have to go with chuck as well. Beyond he knows horses, he actually cares about pushing the sport of horse racing. Without him, the boards little endeavor would not have gotten off the ground. Anyone that is willing to train the horse for part of the purse winnings and deal with 50 owners is a solid trainer in my book.

I would sweat and stammer every time he called to give a report on my horse ;)
