I mean take nothing for him or take a young Bennett a young Waiters someone else and picks. I think its insane that they are not pushing for this.

Will you please stop with this ridiculous trade? Why would Cleveland trade for Anthony who can opt out and become unrestricted FA in 3 months with ZERO chance to resign with Cleveland? They traded a 1st rounder to Chicago to get Deng who probably wont resign with them either.

Was Bennett that bad at 1? It was a a soft class. I thought it was going to be Oledipo, but I had Bennett top 5. I think he will be fine.

Not as bad as Waiters at #4 in the 2012 draft. Last year's draft was especially weak, but Bennett at #1 was a bit of a stretch.

Of course he was a bad pick at #1 considering that he might have fell out of the lottery had Cleveland not taken him. And that is in a really weak year. He has had a few decent games and maybe he will become a starting level player but obviously he and Waiters were reaches that no one had going that high. When a GM reaches in a draft and it doesnt work out he pays the price. They could have taken Noel and waited it out like Philly has but the delusional owner (and you) thought they'd be a playoff contender this year. Of course they did take a player that wasnt ready to open the season because he had shoulder surgery and likes to eat. The guy made indefensible moves.

I think the worst part isnt that he took these two guys who are clearly not star level players but where he took them. He could have traded down if he really wanted to and drafted both later and gotten something else in return. If he picks these guys 10th and they have something else it is not nearly as bad. Neither would have a prayer of being a lottery pick this year.

I guess when you look at the fact he had 4 top 4 picks since 2011 and got Irving, Tristan Thompson, Waiters and Bennett I guess I'd be pretty nervous about letting him take another shot

I guess it could've been worse...he could've taken Royce White in the first round. Lucky for the Cavs the Rockets made that mistake at #16.

Yeah they used up their draft luck with Chandler Parsons. Funny that as you look back over the last few years drafts it is amazing how hit or miss it is.

Look at the year that Sac drafted Thomas Robinson a huge bust at #4 and got Isiah Thomas as the last pick in the same draft

Big game James tonight.
I'm talking Harden, not the King.

Lebrons not just handing KD MVP.

Of course not, but they are still the 3rd best team right now and KD is having those games nearly every single night. And, he is missing his wingman much more often than James is.

Rising stars game is pretty serious. Drummond is arguing calls.

Hilarious Harden and Anthony Davis new Foot Locker commercial.

As I watch Kyrie Irving, it reminds me a lot of Steph Curry at Davidson. Here's a very talented player that is playing with a group of people that are nowhere near his level and he looks bored. He throws passes that they can't catch and plays the game at a mental level that they can't reach. When you see him play with other talented people, you see just how good he is.

Agree. Part of the reasson I thought Clevland would be very good. I think Irving is a super star, and I thought Waiters, Bennett, Bynum and Thompson could all be very good/star players. Plus solid guys like Verajo and Jack.

King Glorious 02-17-2014 05:47 AM

I don't think much of his team. Don't think much of Waiters and Thompson is not good. Bennett appeared as a project. My hope was that Bynum could give them something and in the East, it wouldn't take much. What I'm seeing though, is why guys like James and Bryant and Jordan are superstars while Irving is just super talented. Superstars don't get bored. They don't take nights off. No matter how bad their teams are, they are bringing it every night.

Waiters is solid. He's a starting 2 for half the teams in the league right now.
