Yup, we're stuck with that sly fox...Shapiro.

slotdirt 09-16-2011 06:06 AM

Here comes that epic Tigers collapse. There's still time, Cleveland.

clyde 09-16-2011 06:57 AM

That's the problem.

man, when we win every game and you lose every game prior to that last series in Detroit, that series will be epic!

horseofcourse 09-17-2011 12:34 AM

The internets say the Tigers clinched the division slotdirt. Is it still possible for them to blow it?? Who the heck did they have to trade to get Fister??, I don't feel like looking it up, but I'm guessing they didn't trade their top 2 prospects in the organization. You guys are gonna blow up the Red Sox in 3 games.

slotdirt 09-17-2011 07:58 AM

They traded Charlie Furbush, Casper Wells, and a couple others for Fister. He's been a regular Doyle Alexander coming down the stretch. Furbush for Fister.

so you're saying Furbush is the next John Smoltz?? :D

horseofcourse 09-17-2011 03:31 PM

why don't they ever make a schedule where all we play are the Royals and Twins clyde?? We do better against those 90 loss teams than the 90 win teams for some reason I have yet to figure out.

slotdirt 09-17-2011 05:29 PM

I'm saying the Tigers didn't give up much for Fister.

When I saw Kellen Moore of the blue turf people throw for about 500 against Toledo on Friday, that pretty much told you all you needed to know about OSU this year when they could barely beat Toledo at home. They pretty much stink. The Big 10 overall is a really, really bad football conference this year. Who's the best team?? Wisconsin? Illinois?? Nebraska--stating Nebraska may be the best team in the Big 10 just doesn't seem like a correct thing to say. OSU, State Penn, Mich State, Meat Chicken are all bad this year. I guess there's always God's conference. Which state was God born in?? Alabama or Florida? God made Tim Tebow and the Confederacy and the SEC. There is nothing but God love for the SEC. That's why it's the bestest. God has nothing but hate for the 12 team Big 10. God hates non-counters.

More disturbing news in the wigwam. They are activating Tomlin from the DL to start one of the double header games next week. Are you kidding me?? What purpose could that possibly serve? Morons.

clyde 09-18-2011 12:16 PM

Boy,you said a mouthful.

There is no reason to live anymore. The Indians, the Browns,The Ohio State and the Cavalier Attitudes;p-u.

And the Securities and Exchange Commission ....your commentys are on right--- I mean right on.God loves them.

Who is Tomlin!!?

clyde 09-18-2011 12:36 PM

Oh my God.

The Browns are already losing.

How can they be already losing to the Manningless' !!?

clyde 09-18-2011 12:38 PM

10 plays and 24 net yards.

At least lose pretty.

clyde 09-18-2011 12:40 PM

3-0....now 6-0.

Our high powered point -a- quarter offense is getting revved up.

clyde 09-18-2011 12:55 PM

Told ya.

:D

clyde 09-18-2011 02:25 PM

This game is the prototypical Browns game.Do just enough to stay ahead until the other team wins.

I know that's hard to follow.

horseofcourse 09-18-2011 06:56 PM

The Browns win!!! That game set football back 200 years. It's a 4 way tie for first place now. How exciting. Indians score 6 in the 7th...duncan hits a homer and double in that inning. Yeah, made sense keeping Urns over him the brunt of the year for the bench outfielder!! He's got 10 homers and 40 rbi in under 200 At bats. I think I could pitch against the Twins with minor success. The Browns and INdians are both exactly .500 today. Great. We play another terrible team next week. If we were just a below average team we'd have gone 8-3 our first 11 games.

clyde 09-18-2011 07:05 PM

:zz:

:zz::zz:

thud

clyde 09-19-2011 07:58 AM

Cam McCoy..the verdict will be out for sometime ,(after all...2 games does not make a supahstah) but at least he's 1-1.

Cam Collins ...the verdict is in on this guy and has been for some time.

I wish the Browns played the Twins and Royals this year.

clyde 09-20-2011 10:47 AM

Sizeless is now being referred to as "Lady" and ''Strikemore" from disgruntled fans.

I found it amusing.

I found it amusing.

I can't fathom why he in his physical condition is still playing games either. Although I guess playing one more week won't do any more damage. He defines the word damage. They completely shut Chew down which tells me what they think of those two. They could care less how much damage Sizeless does to himself.

horseofcourse 09-20-2011 12:53 PM

Hey, they're playing baseball right now...more Exhausto for our pleasure!! It's the war for 2nd place on display.

clyde 09-20-2011 01:04 PM

Whoa!

I see he's pitching a 5 hitter...of course he's still in the 4th inning.Hafner hit a homer...on pace for 77 if he plays another 3 years..or so---combined,and stuff.

That means someone must have ripped the jersey off Ptomaine again.

I see you're right...2 games. The walk up for this first game was 37.Wow...they had already sold 12 . So the crowd is huge and really into this baby.

Wake me when my nightmare is over.

You're good;I can never tell when Sizeless is injured or 100%.

It's because it actually is the same thing. Sizeless at 100 percent is injured to some extent.

SportyFans, you have to be a Tribe enthusiast to know the raw brilliance of the above statement.

OOOOOOOOOO

horseofcourse 09-21-2011 08:03 AM

Not much to report from Tuesday. Judge Judy and that guy named Putnam hit a ton of batters so that happened. A 1 run win (Exhausto!) and a 1 run loss with 4 AAA pitchers pitching. Sizeless hit a sacrifice fly, his first offensive contribution since returning!! Oh well. Could have gone above .500 but instead, still below. We maintain our 1.5 game vice lock on 2nd place. I'm gonna have to start calculating some magic numbers.

clyde 09-21-2011 08:08 AM

spit!!

rolling an' laughing!!

clyde 09-21-2011 08:23 AM

Oh mine Got...where do we get these guys from already!!?

Surely Sell Yount can have a spot on this team.

horseofcourse 09-21-2011 06:43 PM

Ubaldo Jimenez perfect game through 3. Trend continues. You notice clyde when we got Obaldo and were within 5 games of Detroit and really, really needed the guy to pitch well he spit the bit every single start. Once we were completely and totally out of it the guy has pitched well every single start. Weird or not weird?? Is the guy just not built correctly? Seems odd now that it doesn't really matter if the guy pitches well or not he is pitching well every single game. When we were still alive the guy was nowhere.

clyde 09-21-2011 06:58 PM

I guess it's the ''way it goes" theory.

You are so right.

Seems like it's just bein' in the wrong side a town at the wrong side a the clock.

clyde 09-21-2011 07:13 PM

Well that didn't take long.

horseofcourse 09-21-2011 08:49 PM

I have to give credit to Chad Durbin for his incredible consistency all year long. 3 home runs in one single inning is simply taking it to another level though. Kudos. Down to one half game lead now for second. Crap.

clyde 09-21-2011 08:55 PM

laughing my poor dupa off!!!!

God we suck!

clyde 09-22-2011 04:59 PM

And that team beat us....it don't git no better 'an 'at.

horseofcourse 09-22-2011 05:53 PM

Tribe brass has finally found the cleveland sporty page thread on DT....looky here!!

No Josh Tomlin after all. The Indians saw his rehab and apparently saw enough.

"Once we fell out of the race, we were not just going to call off his rehab," Acta said. "After he finished everything and felt well, it makes no sense for him to pitch another game."

Tomlin completed his rehab with a simulated game on Tuesday. He tossed 45 pitches and the Indians felt he was healthy enough, so they shut him down to risk any set back. They want him healthy going into the offseason, but wanted him to finish his recovery process. Of course after seeming like he'd get back out there, Tomlin needed some talking to and convincing, but he certainly will come around with the bigger picture in mind.

(the best news is this means more Talbots!! I had erased him from my mind! Yes, we get one more start from Talbots this year. How gratifying!)
