just an FYI...nowhere will you see that I put out Greeley's Legacy as a betting choice, that is the reason that thread was in the 'paddock' and not 'selections'...and I did not put a dime on him...I merely brought up the fact that he was running after an extended break... the reason I did that is because I have a personal history with the horse, and his career, however bad, is of interest to me. But hey...when you hit the next bar we'll chat again.

Zito went from "an average trainer at best" to a "low-life scum" in about 10 minutes.
I'm reporting this to the Italian-American Anti-Defamation League.

Capisce ????

Is Adore the Gold the one that has won four consecutive (I think) races down at GP? If that is the one then I absolutely love him. He is very intriguing.

His training abilities are average and as a person he is a low life scum. Just my opinion.

I don't think any 3-year-old has won four consecutive races at GP.

He's a multiple stakes winner, by Formal Gold, that I believe is also owned by the same connections as FG.

He's 3-for-4 and has run some pretty good figures. He also has the same subsuquent stakes winning common opponet (Heart Throbbin') as Hard Spun has---and he looked a little better against that horse than HS did. Not that that means a whole lot.

By that I mean..

Heart Throbbin was 2nd beaten five lengths to Hard Spun in a Nov alw race at Delaware. Was 8th beaten about 16 lengths in a DEC stake by Adore the Gold. And upset a stake at LRL on New Year's day.

What experience do you have with Zito where you could call him a low life scum. Fact is, FROM ALL ACCOUNTS, from people that I know, that know him and from his interviews, he seems like a heck of a person and a person I would love to chill with at the track......

And, from what I have observed, his horses are always well managed and taken care of.

I will say his horses are taken care of very well. I will never deny his passion and love for horses. That part about him is something to admire. However, I think his training ability (able to get his horses ready, able to figure out how to improve a horse etc etc is whats avg). All I am going to say is that there have been several times where I have seen Zito be less than a man. Not only to me but to other people. That is all. But his love for horses and passion for the game is great.

Cajungator26 01-17-2007 10:13 PM

I've heard that Zito is quite the ladies man, but that doesn't make him a low life scum. As long as his horses are taken care of, that's all that's important to me.

I'd elaborate on this...at the '05 Kee Sept sale I walked up to him and asked about a horse in his care. He was elated that someone he didn't know actually cared that much to stop and ask and thanked me for being a fan of the horse. I'm willing to bet that most any trainer in the industry would not have been so nice or willing to give me a full account of a horse as Zito did.

I was just joking around with her... I've never met Zito, so I don't know how he is in real life.
