You should catch up quite a bit with that one. Nice play.:$: I was hoping that they might take back with the 4 since he was beaten in his last two and the 8 would be alone on the front, but no such luck. I guess you can't tinker with their running style too much.:(

cal828 08-16-2017 08:32 PM

Uh-oh. Looks like it just got a whole lot harder, as if it wasn't hard enough already. Looks like 3 or 4 guys (or gals) hit todays race and now the leader has 10k+.

jms62 08-17-2017 07:54 AM

Lots of folks had that one. I went from 4th to 16th. Now looks like the guy who sat on his lead has to start playing again.

I need some help with my math. if the 1-6 exacta paid 100.60 and I played a $25 exacta....how come the contest is only giving me a mythical payout of $1900???I could give a rat's a$$ since I am out of time and out of range but WTF? Am I missing something?

Exacta's are capped at $75 so 25 * 75 = 1875 plus 25 for the bet

Thanks, I could have had it a bit better, but was a bit scared of that rider. I think he was 0/32 in wins at this meet before yesterday and Victor Espinosa had some success with the horse and I couldn't understand why he wasn't riding her. Typical over handicapping I guess. I had a good first impression of the race and then didn't trust my own instincts and picked it apart.:wf:D

Seems like every day I either get the win horse or the place horse, but never the two together.:(:D

As an aside, I know you live in Houston casp. Anticipating any problems from the storm? My brother lived down there for a long time. I know it floods real easily.

Houston appears to be in for a huge rain event, the poor folks down in Corpus are really in for it, 105-135 mph winds at landfall and
Harvey may stall over that area for as long as 36 hours and then is projected to go back offshore and back inland just east of Galveston. Its gonna be ugly for sure. My Dad is in Richmond but the rest of the fam is in East Texas, my in-laws are real close. We should be fine barring tornados or extreme rising water. Good luck Cal!!

Good to hear. Hope you and your family are safe. Can't say I like the sound of it coming back East of Galveston, but maybe it will have lost some of its punch by then.

the last forecast we received from work shows it making a 360 degree loop in the Corpus area and then head north inland....in other words, no one has any idea what this thing will do after landfall...thanks Cal...now knock down that Del Mar play tonight!!

we are getting our asses kicked....rising water everywhere in Houston, travel is advised against for sure. Me and family are high and dry for now. My workplace is mostly underwater on the Ship Channel. Lots of high water rescues ongoing, this is going to be really bad for a lot of people in South and Central Texas and then this bastard is going to come back for another round. Needs to send some moisture east to give us some relief....really bad and will probably get worse
