Lol

Just checked the score on the way back from the river. Ny certainly lowered the boom on the habs.

knickslions2 05-17-2014 08:07 PM

Rangers romp. Great day baby!!

Danzig 05-18-2014 02:25 PM

Let's go hawks

Danzig 05-19-2014 10:24 AM

price out, montreal out as well? most likely.

rpncaine 05-19-2014 10:33 AM

God I hope so. I despise those guys.

knickslions2 05-19-2014 09:42 PM

Rangers rangers rangers!!!

Matt can you believe they r two wins from the finals

ateamstupid 05-19-2014 09:57 PM

In Game 4 of the Penguins series I couldn't point to one guy besides Hank who played well. Now 5 games later I can't point to one guy who didn't play well tonight. Couldn't ask for more and can't wait to close these clowns out at the Garden.

Danzig 05-20-2014 07:27 AM

amazing the change in the team-they have come together at just the right time for sure.

MaTH716 05-20-2014 10:10 AM

Confidence is an amazing thing. Right now they are playing at an unbelievable level. Even though the Habs had 40 shots last night, it wasn't a tough 40. Sure Hank had to make some good saves, but it was a lot of long shots that the defensive group gave him a clear view of.

Obviously we have had our hearts broken many times by this organization, but truthfully this team really has a different (almost like a team of destiny) feel to it.

I just want them to keep playing their system and they should be fine (getting through Habs). Only thing I am looking forward towards now is game 3.

ateamstupid 05-20-2014 11:44 AM

As an aside, it's pretty pathetic to hear Montreal's coach blaming everything but himself and his team for getting massacred these last two games. First it was Kreider, now it's the refs.. No accountability whatsoever. Shows how mentally unraveled they already are and the Rangers/MSG crowd will pounce on that. Subban saying Hank is getting lucky, Subban/Pacioretty talking up their crowd then laying two straight eggs at home. That team is all talk. AV and the Rangers are just about business.

:tro:

rangers certainly got the better bargain than vancouver with head coaches too!
every time milbury opens his mouth, i just laugh. how does he still have a job on tv?

marty got a lot of grief after going to ny. how ironic he's the one to pull them together, and give them a common cause!

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-21-2014 12:54 PM

if the rangers keep this up they may be allowed to lose to the blackhawks in the stanly cup..

Worry about those Kings first playboy.

-BT- 05-21-2014 09:31 PM

they call it the worst lead in hockey for a reason..... wheels are off for the hawks tonight

MaTH716 05-22-2014 07:32 AM

Quick's save on Seabrook on a 2-1 break with Hawks leading 2-0 was the game saver for Kings.

Tell me about it , I go back to the days of 6 teams in the league and Andy Bathgate, Camille henry, and of course The Gumper. It's been a newfound pleasure watching the team come together like it has with St. Louis and of course henry. I'm all in on the RANGERS :tro:

Been watchin' and playin' this game long enough to know that neither teams chicken have hatched yet.

Still the final I want to see though. Go Rangers.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-22-2014 05:23 PM

hope rangers win out hawks will be fine..looked like an inside job last night..sharp will be back..no problem

dellinger63 05-22-2014 07:48 PM

Is there a possibility the hawks play the rangers Belmont Day for the Stanley Cup?

Or will NBC be acute enough to do it the following Sunday afternoon?

Or am I so old my brain calendar no longer exists?

GBBob 05-22-2014 10:37 PM

Well..Unfortunately..it could very easily be a Kings-Habs final..NBC Execs sleepless over THAT.

LA is the real deal and NY is/was getting cocky...at least the fans were after spending the week there.

I still think the best team in the NHL, St Louis, was tossed early and the West's class will beat whatever the East sends out.

Chicago over Montreal in 6

ateamstupid 05-22-2014 11:24 PM

Anybody remotely familiar with the Rangers could've told you it wouldn't be that easy. I was concerned off the bat this morning when I read nothing but columns about what geniuses AV and the locker room leaders were. Can we wait til the Stanley Cup Finals to run those stories please? Jesus.

Still believe in this team big time. But they better take care of bidness Sunday. Otherwise this could get ugly in a hurry.

rpncaine 05-23-2014 06:32 AM

I predict every series left (including the NBA ones) will go to seven games. In fact if I lived in Vegas I'd try to get a prop bet on that.

That's the rub with being a Rangers fan, you knew that they don't make it easy on anyone.
Truthfully, I thought they played very well last night, the kid from MTL just stood on his head. Plus their lines were jumbled all night. I still have a good feeling with this team. It was a matter of time before this team finally showed up on the local radar. I'm not concerned....YET. (didn't expect a sweep).

Benny 05-23-2014 08:57 AM

In HENRY we trust ! And hopefully 4 lines will wear the Habs out ;)

ateamstupid 05-23-2014 11:44 AM

Stepan has a broken jaw. It was an absolute travesty that Prust wasn't called for anything on that bush league cheapshot. Hopefully they suspend that scumbag the rest of the series because I'm sure Carcillo is gone too. Not holding my breath.

listening to nhl radio right now. stepan needs surgery-but no word yet on when they'll do it, or if he'll play and wait.

cannot believe there was no penalty, absolutely ridiculous non-call.
carcillo-will he get 3 games? that's the penalty for pushing a ref without intent to injure, and i would like to think he didn't intend harm to the ref.
i think the loss will shake up the rangers...when they failed on one of their early power plays last night, i told my husband this is going to come back to bite them.
i expect better play from them sunday-altho i don't think they played badly last night. but, they definitely need to take advantage of the power plays.

Danzig 05-23-2014 01:07 PM

Stepan having surgery today. Prust hearing later

ateamstupid 05-23-2014 01:09 PM

@KatieStrangESPN #NYR #MTL Desharnais on Prust hit: "Prusty wanted to set the tone and I thought it was a pretty good hit"

Right, but Kreider is a dirty goaltender menace. Holy phuck that team is delusional.

Danzig 05-23-2014 02:22 PM

Carcillo, ten games.
I think it should have been the three, but that doesnt matter. His rep got him the extra.

golfer 05-23-2014 02:36 PM

That was a tough call, IMO. If those 4 nitwits hadn't all missed the OBVIOUS penalty on Prust, that situation never would have occurred. Then, they make a ridiculously bad call on Carcillo, and decide he needs to be RUSHED to the penalty box? I don't think it's normal procedure for a player who gets a 2 minute minor to be escorted to the penalty box when he is NOT involved in a skirmish? After just watching it again, Carcillo is simply standing there while Prust and Dorsett are fighting. Why in the world did Scott Driscoll think his job was to "escort" Carcillo to the penalty box, as opposed to staying with the fight?

What he did, compared to infractions over the years in the NHL, was NOTHING. Of course, this rule 40 has only existed since 1982. It was, however, Carcillo's 2nd time breaking this rule, which was probably taken into consideration.

NONE of those 4 officials should work another game in this series, IMO.

You think San Antonio is losing 3 games after the 1st 2 debacles?

ateamstupid 05-23-2014 04:33 PM

2 games for Prust. THAT'LL LEARN HIM.

I don't think Prust would have had a major impact in the series, other than possibly taking out other Ranger players with cheap shots:rolleyes:... But after watching the Dept of Player Safety Video, what a friggin joke? 2 games, they spent 2 minutes explaining EVERY detail of why that hit was illegal and unacceptable, then offer up 2 games as punishment?

And of course, no mention of how 4 Officials on the ice could have missed it.

I still don't think Prust is a bad guy, or a dirty player. But that was a dirty hit. I think even he would admit it, if he is allowed to speak to the media.

Hey, after price got hurt, prust said we need to take out one of theirs. He should have got extra for it being planned ahead of time.

ateamstupid 05-25-2014 07:01 PM

Let's go Rangers! Only way to shut these fools up is sending them to the golf course.

golfer 05-25-2014 08:56 PM

From tonight's game:

Ed Olczyk, "In 1994, I brought the Stanley Cup to the Rye (NY) Smoke Shop". Doc Emrick, "Eddie, you don't smoke cigars?"... Ed Olczyk, " That's where I bought my Daily Racing Forms!"..

Awesome exchange.

Marty is my hero. Enjoy paying Callahan $6 million a year Tampa.

Benny 05-25-2014 11:23 PM

LETS GO RANGERS !

Won't be easy winning 3 straight in Montreal, but Henry is unreal.
