England Expects.

That's correct.. he was a pretty big disappointment after the promise he showed in his first two starts..

I wonder who was a bigger disappointment after winning the Tremont. England Expects or De Niro.

I was going to post something disparaging the Tremont as a race, but then I saw a list of the winners of that race and changed my mind.

At least I won't have to worry about it anymore since its been canceled.

De Niro was definitely a huge disappointment.. At least England Expects actually won several times again after the Tremont, De Niro was just awful..

Here's De Niro's maiden race from 94, it was an exciting debut.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1SmJa_WAbc

i don't know. when i saw yellow and grey, i immediately thought of stone farm. but i thought it was too much grey on the silks, so i wasn't sure if it was menifee or not. and now i know why i doubted my answer!

The Humpty Dumpty silks belonged to co-owner James Stone. It might have been an every other race deal because the Stone colors were worn in the Haskell and Super Derby, while Hancock's colors were worn in the Travers. Hancock's colors were worn in the Blue Grass and Derby; Hancock is superstitious, so he probably didn't want them changed for the big race.

Thanks. My memory isn't completely shot.
