Welker kicked an extra point for NE and made it but didn't look as good as Suh's attempt. I'm pretty sure Schwartz put Suh out there not to be funny, but it was his best chance to make an extra point.

I said it was an obvious second guess. I don't remember what the score/scenario was when Welker made his kick.
I just can't believe that the defensive tackle is a better/#1 back up option to kick field goals over the punter.

If it was the Eagles in the situation and Akers was out..

I'd sure as heck want Vick / McCoy / Jackson / Maclin going for 2 instead of Trent Cole kicking an extra point.

slotdirt 11-08-2010 10:55 AM

I say again, would you rather have a guy who's never handled a snap before taking the kick, or have a guy who's kicked a field goal at some point in his life trying a PAT? I think Schwartz ended up making the right decision if he were going to go for the PAT, but perhaps going for two might have been the better overall choice. I still think the likelihood of Suh making that PAT is higher than the Lions converting for two points.

No matter, the Lions could have been up 10, 11, 12, or 20, they'd have still figure out a way to gift wrap that game for the Jets yesterday. That's how we roll.

Lions have some awesome offensive talent.. I thing 2 points in the option.

Unless Suh practices this PAT during the week. If he was going in cold and doesnt even practice the kicks.. you have to go for 2.

Does anyone know if he practices kicking?

Remember they also beat the saints! So get off your high horse were tied again at 6-2. Its one loss what you gonna say if new england beats both pittsburgh and indy in the next 2 weeks? Especially when we beat you in foxboro!

What f'ing high horse? What the hell have any of us said since yesterday? Stop with the self-persecution you goddamn moron. And yeah, "WHAT R U GONNA SAY WHEN WE BEAT TWO TEAMS THAT R BETTER THAN US THEN BEET YOU JUST LIKE WE DIDNT IN WEEK 2" is a real sound argument.

Good luck with that you waste of space. Just remember that you serve absolutely no purpose here and leashes are real short around here right about now.

You have an unbelievable ability to take 2-3 people discussing something on Derby Trail and blow it way out of proportion and make it seem like it's a huge bone of contention all over everywhere. Schwartz is getting way more criticism for throwing on 3rd down under 2 than for Suh kicking.

slotdirt 11-08-2010 11:35 AM

^^^ Agreed. That being said, the Jets seemed destined to win in hindsight, so I'm not sure it would have mattered if Sanchez had 50-60 seconds or 1:50 or so.

My bad I guess. I should have just said I thought him kicking for the PAT was the right move. That said, I can't believe I am the sole person who types on here that blows stuff out of proportion. I'm not a very tough guy. I like dancing horses after all!

Stupid cry a little more and please grow up!

You know what stupid please grow up. Don't call me a moron man its really old how you cuss and think your opinion is always right. I was stating a fact you play cleveland next if you lose then your just like us. Your the one who should be on leash because all you do is bash everyones opinion. Oh and by the way bc ratings, attendance and wagering were all up. Hmmm could it possibly be because of zenyatta. The answer is yes! But you go on bashing her as not being a great horse! lol:D

I have to admit from halfway through the 2nd quarter until the last two minutes of the 4th quarter, the Jets dominated. A team hadn't done that to Cleveland in a while. fortunately, Folk kicked like a middle school kicker for Cleveland allowing Mccoy to get it to OT, then the ex Jet gave the Jets the game when the Browns were driving on their first OT possession. AFter that the Jets D started dominating again. Both Qbs were pretty impressive I thought.

Jets are finding ways to win, Im even impressed. I still think the AFC goes through Baltimore. I thought they played Huge in ATL on Thursday and Joey Ice seems to be stepping up.

Dahoss 11-21-2010 03:02 PM

That's the Jets I know...snatching defeat from the arms of victory.

Im confident we will win in NE.
Another nice comeback from you guys though, congrats.

Back when I was in college, so that was in the late '70s early 80's I believe they used to call the Bengals the cardiac kids because they used to win games just tlike this, at the last minute with wild plays. I believe the was around the time the Begals made the Super Bowl ( I bet on them and Lost) .

Can not remember the exact year any more.

I really hope the Jets pound the Patriots.

J-E-T-S Jets

jms62 11-22-2010 09:01 AM

I will be the Jets on the Moneyline for the rest of the season... Let's see if they continue to be cardiac kids.

No, the Browns were called the Kardiac Kids in the late 70s and early 80s. 1979-1980 to be exact (Brian Sipe). The Bengals are called nothing and never were called anything. They called their field the jungle for some reason one time.

cabvmd 11-22-2010 11:59 AM

Thanks horseofcourse for giving me the correct team.

I knew it was a team form Ohio, just got mixed up. Bengals fan are wild. They were never very good if I can remember and just the one year, when they made the Super Bowl, I got sucked in to the hysteria and bet on them ARRGGGHH! Lost my $$ of course.

The Bengals have actually won the AFC more than the Jets....jus thayn....:p

nebrady 11-23-2010 04:06 PM

Bring on the jets this luck can't continue!

Bring on the jets. Almost time. Can someone explain to me why your so good. You think our defense is bad look at the points you have been given up. If it isn't for horrible texans d, not having safety back looking for long pass! You lose. Your not that good. New England has now beaten baltimore, pittsburgh, indianapolis and san diego who all should make the playoffs. Maybe the bungals can make you into a jets stuffing for turkey dinner! Doubt it can't wait til that monday night. Then you will see a jet burning in foxboro! Also like usual the pats win the east! Rebuilding comon man! lol:rolleyes:

Mike Brown, Marvin Lewis, Carson Palmer.

ateamstupid 11-23-2010 07:13 PM

I also find it hilarious that when the Pats beat San Diego because the Chargers literally left two balls on the ground for the Pats to take and run with and because Kris Brown missed a field goal, then beat the Colts because Manning throws an asinine pick when they're already in game-tying FG range, then beat the Vikings because of a gift interception from Percy Harvin, etc. no one bats an eye about them being lucky. But when the Jets get a few breaks, it's a nationwide debate about whether or not they're for real.

Besides, if you actually watched the games we've had instead of just four seconds of highlights, you'd realize our luck has been pretty crappy. Detroit was the only game we really stole. We got jobbed on 4-5 flags in Denver before getting one (justifiably) at the end. We beat Cleveland pretty handily but had to win in OT because our kicker missed three FGs (yeah, a missed 24-yarder after a 19-play drive, we're real lucky) and we dominated 52-53 of 60 minutes against Houston, blew a lead and still drove 72 yards with 49 seconds and no timeouts left to win. If the Pats did that, there wouldn't be enough mops in the world to wipe all the analyst/pundit/writer cum from off the floor, but when we do it, it's discredited.

Like I said, bring on the Pats. Nothing to be scared of.

Hey turkey I mean stupid quit crying! lol

Whatever stupid give pats credit our defense is the youngest in league and the team is suppose to be rebuilding! Yet we are 8-2. Give the pats props. Now jets lets see your d isn't as good as advertised and your barely winning games late or in ot. San diego game new england was smart to pick up those balls good coaching vs turner. Minnesota really come on we smacked favre around and had a great goal line stand. Man do you grasp at straws. Your like the kid who dropped his ice cream cone and blamed it on the wind! lol Little over a week and then what will you be saying when we beat your ass and take over the east again! Jets fans repeat after me "Pats win the east" Lol

Can I ban your little bitch troll ass if the Jets win? Nah, I might just do that anyway.

horseofcourse 11-24-2010 06:56 PM

Good teams find ways to win games...and both the Jets and Patriots do just that. Sanchez is a very, very good 2nd year qb.

hi_im_god 11-24-2010 07:08 PM

no one bans nebrady until i've completely decoded whatever that was he posted.

any help would be appreciated. outside of not liking the jets and being named "nebrady" i'm a bit lost.
