My favorite part of the night was coming home and checking results and seeing that C'est la Guerre, who i always play, (finally) won... and at big odds.

Of course i didn't play that race last night.

my miss storm cat 10-03-2010 02:23 PM

Hahahaha oh my God I just remembered to look and see who won the Turnbull Stakes.

Wow they sure as hell picked a tough spot for Luen Yat Forever (his first Australian start).

He's an awfully nice horse... a champion!

I hope he enjoys seeing the behind of one Ms. More Joyous.

I am excited to see him here though...

So You Think was excellent, and I think he would win over ten furlongs anywhere!

Excellent to see Black Caviar back today, she was brilliant - but I'm firmly in the Hay List camp, but with one being by Bel Esprit and the other being by Statue Of Liberty - it certainly makes my job very, very easy :D

Thinking maybe Faint Perfume or Metal Bender, rooting for half the field. :D

http://materials.risa.com.au/PUBLISH...&StateDesc=VIC

This sucks...

Feel better, Master O’Reilly and Zabrasive.

magic_idol 10-15-2010 03:36 AM

Heavy,Heavy...Heavy Track;)

my miss storm cat 10-15-2010 05:44 AM

Hmmm... I know a boy from Hong Kong whojust might like that Magic...

He drew barrier 16 but ummm this is good news for him. Heard he looked really good going out for a spin with the Japanese invader, Tokai Trick.

Good luck, HK Raider.

At this point I thin I might just box Metal Bender, Faint Perfume and Mr. Medici and leave it at that.

(Will of course be pleased if Monaco Consul or Red Ruler win but I just can't play them here...)

Good luck everyone. Come home safe kids.

my miss storm cat 10-15-2010 03:11 PM

No Drunken Sailor...

http://www.thoroughbrednews.com.au/s....aspx?id=49283

(For anyone too lazy to read the previous page, Master O’Reilly and Zabrasive are, sadly, out).

my miss storm cat 10-15-2010 07:08 PM

You playing tonight?

_ed_ 10-15-2010 07:20 PM

C'est La Guerre will like the wet track today.

So will Harris Tweed and Monaco Consul in the Cup.

That's like a trio of horses who I've probably lost the most on if you combine them. :D

(Sounded illiterate... you know what I mean!).

Okay Morty, from our good friends at the HKJC so here's hoping you see this guy soon.

Brett Prebble permitted to ride in Australia

15/10/2010

Permission has been granted for Club Jockey Brett Prebble to be absent from Hong Kong in order to ride DRUNKEN SAILOR for Trainer Luca Cumani in the following races:-

Race
Date
Racecourse

Geelong Cup (G3)

(Lead up race to below)
Wednesday,

20 October
Geelong Racecourse,

Victoria

Emirates Melbourne Cup (G1)
Tuesday,

2 November
Flemington Racecourse,

Melbourne

Jockey Prebble has informed that the Geelong Cup is intended to be the final lead up race prior to DRUNKEN SAILOR competing in the Emirates Melbourne Cup (Group 1).

For the Geelong Cup, Jockey Prebble has advised that he intends to depart Hong Kong on 19 October 2010 and will return to Hong Kong on 21 October 2010. As such, he will not accept race riding engagements for the Happy Valley race meeting scheduled on Wednesday night, 20 October 2010.

... and as far as the other two go?

Master O’Reilly (who won the 2007 Caulfield Cup) scratched due to colic so that's not exactly funny and Zabrasive is injured so again... no need to joke here.

Okay?

Coach Pants 10-15-2010 08:01 PM

Weather update?

my miss storm cat 10-15-2010 08:08 PM

Yeah that would be great to get it from someone over there.

Magic? No Chance?

Latest i can find..

http://formguide.cyberhorse.com.au/i...n-or-hail.html

_ed_ 10-15-2010 08:09 PM

Looks like the sun is out there now, but it rained heavily during the first race and they had some hail just after it. The track is rated heavy, and no one is expecting it to get any better. 1:26.6 for the 1400 in the first race.

my miss storm cat 10-15-2010 08:11 PM

Thanks!

_ed_ 10-15-2010 08:12 PM

Ooh, race 2 was slower, even though it was a higher class race - 1:27.17.

Coach Pants 10-15-2010 08:21 PM

Gonna be tricky then.

Thanks ed.

my miss storm cat 10-15-2010 08:36 PM
