Congrats Steve, are you going to prep the BBQ during commercials?

I prefer the old time, but it will be nice to have you back on the air.

The BBQ thing reminded me that some guy (Chris?) on TBC has been really ripping Steve about his BBQ business at Saratoga. Also got all over him for the Davidowitz interview.

BTW, because I'm retired the time slot doesn't really make much difference to me. I just want the show back live.

Will likely still do 4-7p for Saratoga but run it the next morning. Long term, I think people will find the morning show is going to be OK.

The prince of all internet misfits! The very special Quiet Chris who can't keep polite company and finds people that work for a living contemptable. He's a valuable asset to any online community. Let him go on about Carolina Barbecue all he wants... it's free advertising.

Glad the 9a-12n works for you Patrick... As I suggested, I'm hopeful that everyone that enjoys the show can find a way to hear it...

I'm thrilled about the new time slot. A little change never hurt anyone.

The ONLY problem I have with the new time is that it's now up against the ONLY reason I became a Sirius subscriber however many years ago to begin with, Howard Stern.

I guess I'll just have to switch back and forth.

Coach Pants 06-20-2010 08:45 AM

Sirius/XM is a disaster.

Glad you're back on, Steve.

The Stern show replay usually starts around 12:15pm. You can catch ATR in the morning and get the Stern show from the beginning right after.

How can you go wrong with the BBQ? The Montreal smoked meat was especially delicious last season...looking forward to it this season.

That's exactly what someone else told me yesterday. It's just that old habits die hard, and live Stern is a 25 year habit. But it certainly can be done.

bt,

Funny you ask. Over the weekend was thinking about a Saturday broadcast (Net only) which would then be used as the Monday morning show..

KC and I have a lot of things to think through and work out while we're together in Florida... Thanks for trying to figure out how you'll be able to listen if the a.m. casts don't work into your schedule.

GoIrish 06-21-2010 09:26 AM

Forgive me for being obtuse, but will the show stream live on the net, or will I be able to stream the replay later in the day?

Irish,

Yes and yes...!

Kasept 06-24-2010 07:59 PM

The "new" show does appear set to debut Monday at 9am!

XIIPointStables 06-24-2010 08:05 PM

Awesome. Looking forward to it Steve.
And please add one more vote from me for a "Saratoga Saturday" show.

Yes Dave... Thoughts? How does it work for you? In the car or truck some in the mornings?

arizonadave 06-25-2010 08:42 PM

Its going to be a change, as one of the reasons I enjoyed the show was the live race calls. I too am a Howard Stern fan, but its on all day. Lets just get you back on the air and see what happens. Good Luck.

Archives

I am busy in AM, and will need the archives, and will be glad of those to download at night (too late for your race insights, I suppose). (there are currently no 6/25 archives); however, I will just be glad that your radio show is still on!! You are so good for racing!!

mclem0822 06-26-2010 10:09 AM

Cannot wait until Monday morning, archives are great if i get time, but i prefer the LIVE show, and have been missing it like crazy! Good Luck Steve!

Danzig 06-26-2010 10:15 AM

gives me something to listen to in the mornings, that's for sure. i usually drive with the radio off. don't tell my husband, he would give me a hard time for buying it for me and me not using it!
