At least it was Toledo.

We played one of the worst defenses around and couldn't score an offensive td nor get 25O yards!

Late Fires 10-11-2008 07:17 PM

We did punt the ball VERY well.

Mortimer 10-11-2008 07:19 PM

!!!!

We,too!

glad you've come to realize this. that's what happens when you're depending on a FR QB and that gimmick spread offense.

You idiot.

They don't run the spread...and the problem isn't the qb.

When you receive an improved blood supply to your head...then come back.

If there is a bigger dumbazz fucl<face than you....I don't want to meet him.

Their base offense is what is called the I formation with a tight end ,2 wide outs ,tailback and a fullback. They would like to pound C-Wells out of this formation and use Pryor with option runs. They rarely use a spread formation.

Their main problem is in the offensive line...receivers who drop passes...and horrific play calling. Midget M-Wells up the middle makes Metcalf up the middle look like a good idea.

Their"problem" freshmen qb only won the Wisconsin game in the last minutes with like a 75 yard drive.

You're the kind of Las Vegas cheater who the security people wouldn't bother with.

Mortimer 10-11-2008 11:38 PM

Oh my God.

Abysmal.

Coach Pants 10-11-2008 11:40 PM

My picks must be following the Dow.

Mortimer 10-12-2008 12:45 AM

I said I don't like anything....and then I slam down a pick 4!!

I am not even worthy of the dow.

Mortimer 10-12-2008 12:55 AM

My hallucinations now stand at 10-7.

You're the kind of Las Vegas cheater who the security people wouldn't bother with.

The Ohio St. receivers were wide open that drive. Wisc. completely tanked. And look what Penn St. did to that tough Wisc. D.

The Ohio St. offense is pitiful. The freshman at QB is a HUGE problem right now. He has not a clue when to hand the ball off and when to keep it. He made so many bad decisions against Purdue it was laughable.

Option... He is very good at picking the wrong option and then runs backwards after he has made a mistake trying to put his HS moves on college players.
Did you watch the game Morton? A huge hole opens up and he options to keep it instead of giving it to Wells. It was really bad.

The kid is a great athlete. He will learn. But he has a good way to go.

Ohio State's Defense will pull them through against
most of the Bad 10 anyway.

Phil:D ...if I cared about what you think you see in your out of body experiences I would let loose with a string of profane invective.

But I don't.

in other words...

you agree.
Good Boy morty.

And you agree because you saw it yesterday.
There is hope for your infantile sports brain.

i await the profane response with great trepidation

Mortimer 10-12-2008 02:13 PM

Hello SportyFans.

I may be giving out the ol' "nl" on future Ohio State games.

I think if a nutshell offering were to be made it would be the statement C-Wells made after the game yesterday...as part of a very frustrated offense.

He simply said...we need to pass more. This isn't working.

Which is true.

The defense is a little better than average......maybe it's in the B to B- area.

The offense is bad...as I previously mentioned

Better when the change was made to FRESHMAN qb Pryor.FRESHMAN qb Pryor who performed like a senior in the last drive at Wisconsin for the game winning td.

Everyone plays Ohio State with stopping the run in the forefront of their minds. They did the same thing with Boeckman. They did it with him because of his lack of passing skills. They do it with Pryor because he's a FRESHMEN.....who won the Wisconsin game on a long drive leaving only a minute 8 or so on the clock....and by PASSING.

It's not like he can't throw because he can.The o-line isn't sa hot and has recently replaced a senior with a freshman on that same line

But they are worse when Ohio runs predictable plays time after time. 14 passes yesterday---that was it.10 were completed, but they have to throw more and more down field because this isn't going to get it.There is nothing wrong with Pryor--Ohio's main problem is predictability. The o-line would be better and get more confidence if we got away from Bo's Ark fb.With the defense...that would be good enough to win out.

And please...the Maurice Wells up the middle play should be burned.

Ohio State does not run a spread, Pryor is not the problem, but the solution to a bad qb problem.

Finally...for you junior point shavers out there......NEVER use the Team A lost to Team B....and the very next week lost in a much larger way to Team C;therefor Team C will beat team B should they meet---theory.

Only boneheads think like that.

Tom Tupa

Mortimer 10-12-2008 04:14 PM

This means...what?

The Bid 10-12-2008 04:47 PM

Tupa is from my hometown.

We are proud of Tom Tupa in Brecksville

Great punter...not a bad qb at all when one realizes he had ,really, just one year of experience and that was his senior year.

He didn't play on the best of teams.

pgardn 10-12-2008 05:55 PM

Pryor made absolutely awful reads yesterday, awful.
The play calling is conservative because Tressel is trying
to win games with a Freshman. The playbook must be trimmed.
Tressel is doing exactly what he needs to do right now with
a freshman, try not to make mistakes until the kid gets his feet.

Bean man is nowhere near 100% and that also hurts. He breaks
into the open and gets run down. He seems to be able to cut
OK, but his downfield speed is nowhere near it should be. He is
the best RB in college football playing injured.

Luckily its Michigan St. next week and not Penn. St.
Michigan St. is winnable because they have a bad
habit of playing stupid football with good players.
OSU fans, hope they play stupid. Like they pull against
ND everyother year.

And Morton thanks me.

i am starting to admire the patience mortun is displaying... I hope he has not grown up

Mortimer 10-12-2008 06:24 PM

If there s a bigger doorknob spazz than The Gardener.........I do not want to know it.

What a complete idiot kit.

Mortimer 10-12-2008 06:37 PM

Ignoring the counter intelligence in The Gardener's post,SportyFans,if Ohio State keeps the same offensive scheme ( I use that lightly) they will lose at MSU.

If they open it up and throw more square outs and slants that Pryor has been hitting since he started and throw some down field.....they will win.

They will see more of the same....defenses stacking for the run and cutting off the edges....daring the pass.

You can't steal 2nd with your foot anchored to first.

This isn't the 2002 defense.

Mortimer 10-13-2008 07:19 PM

I am venturing into the vast cheating wing conspiracy called the nfl.

I'm taking the Giants giving 7.5

Why?

Because I just heard a reporter ask Romeo how important this Monday night game at home against the reigning world champions Giants is:

His answer:

Well..it's just like any other game. We're going to try and win this game.

And so...if we win everybody is happy.

If we lose everybody is mad.

I think the new fake touchdown play will be introduced tonight.

Mortimer 10-13-2008 10:33 PM

Romeo just won't get out of that 3 point stance.

Mortimer 10-13-2008 11:36 PM

Oh my God.

Steven H. Crist.

Mortimer 10-18-2008 08:31 PM

Take Missouri and 4 ...and whatevah they're doing with Pavlek.

I firmly believe he will knock out Hopkins anywhere form the 5th through the 8th.

Or not.

I have lost all of my moan-aye!

:(

Mortimer 10-21-2008 12:43 PM

I am now 10-10 and pretty doggoned mad at dem beans.

There is a curse going around that I will now break forever.

Ohio State....taking the 1.5.....or whateveah.

Make it the 1.5

This is gunna be too easy.

EAUXH!!!!......one.5.....one game.....one win

Mortimer 10-23-2008 04:57 PM

SportyFans...add Ok.St. +12 at Texas.....and all the Alybamy-6.5 at Tahn-ah-sigh ah kin git!!

ddthetide 10-24-2008 09:53 AM

NICE showing by the barners last night at wv. those rats will look like national champions against Bama in 5 weeks.

Mortimer 10-24-2008 11:39 AM

You have to give them credit;at least they're better than Smooth Floculaters Miami RainShowers.

Mortimer 10-25-2008 11:13 PM

Ca-ca.

Oh well.

And so....let's look at this.

10-10.

I will make this look much bettah...I'm good at that.

0-2 from the Hopkins fight...so I stink at boxing.

0-1 in the cheating nfl...I can't beat cheaters.

That makes 10-7 in cfb point shaving.

Today makes it 12-8.

Not sa bad!
