i saw that georgie boy is back in training, that's one to keep an eye out for. also saw the news that adriano is moving to bill mott, motion lost about a dozen horses or so. still only halfway thru the year, things are only about to get more interesting.

adrian will more then likely never step on dirt again, i think turf is his home, especially now

Speaking of Georgie Boy and other recuperating TC trailers, how's Autism Awareness?

The angle only comes into play when I attend the Belmont. That's the most important factor.

We hooked up a friend big time with seats the other day and he said he'd pay for the seats for next year's Belmont seats. All we need is a hoss from the Sir Barton, and a hoss running for a TC.

Jimmy Jerkens's horses are certainly running very well.

Yeah, I figured as much. The 6th made it seem like the track didn't speed up so unless they did something for the 3rd, which seems unlikely, it was a breakout performance.

I don't know what to think.

horseofcourse 06-14-2008 01:43 AM

I'm getting confused. Is Mint Lane the Travers winner now??

Harlem Rocker worked 58 1/5 'breezing' this morning on polytrack, we will see if they were happy enough with that work to enter him next week.

A fast but "backwards" workout by Plate contender HARLEM ROCKER on the Polytrack today at Woodbine has left the Stronach Stables team in a quandary about whteher to start the grey colt in the June 22 Plate.

According to manager Mike Rogers, Harlem Rocker's workout featured the grey son of Macho Uno going fast in the early part of the 5 furlong prep ('22 and change') and then slowing down at the end (58 1/5 for 5 furlongs, out in 1:12 and change)

"It was kind of backwards, he went fast and then fell apart," said Rogers.
"It doesn't make our decision any easier,"

Rogers said Stronach wanted to view the workout tape himself before deciding the colt's status for new week.

Jock also layed off (near the finish)on Mint Lane.
And the horse responded by slowing near the finish.
Time would have been better by a little.

Jerkins certainly is not treating the horse in
a dainty manner. They race this horse.

But I read on here that I was supposed to be excited about Unbridled Heart the same way I was supposed to be excited about Harlem Rocker. What's going on here?

We are just trying to keep up with your claim that Indian Blessing was one of the five best 3YOs in the country. It wasn't easy so we had to dig deep.

It's befuddling. FAST horses like HR and UH are LOSING. SLOW horses like PYRO are WINNING. Can't be the case that the 'definitions' are screwed up, so it must be the (logical) method. Time to pursue a paraconsistent approach.

blackthroatedwind 06-17-2008 02:20 PM

Unbridled's Heart and Harlem Rocker will both likely prove themselves to be very good horses in the future.

But that claim was made back in March. I may be wrong but in March, she was running faster races than Pyro was and I believe that 90% of the public had Pyro rated as one of the top three Derby horses so I'm just not so sure how making a claim that she was better when she was running faster, was so stupid.

You seem to miss out on the subtleties of my posts. I was responding in kind to your foolish post where you gleefully pointed out that Harlem Rocker and Unbridled's Heart have somehow definitively proven me wrong.

Guess what....every time I'm wrong you don't gain IQ points.

Unlike you, I don't go from thread to thread, indeed forum to forum looking to ridicule your opinions. Believe it or not, I actually wasn't referring to anyone in particular and certainly not to you individually. Like I said though, you can believe that or not. I don't look to pick apart your opinions though. I actually think you have good ones and that you offer a lot and don't see the point in trying to pick your opinions out in some silly attempt to make you look foolish. There's nothing to gain in that. Rather, I think there is gain in trying to learn something new from them, maybe see something from an angle I hadn't. But that's just me.

By the way, I don't need anymore IQ points. The 7.4 that I have are more than enough, thank you.

In my once a week excursion to the other forum, about once a month or so I find the energy to mock your silliness there, but if you like I can step up the attacks.

I can't verify the IQ comment....but I know the rest of your post is disingenuous.
