i asked you back then 100000 times to meet me, and then make a opinion. you never would, but you continue to stay on here and talk. what does that make you ?

Don't have anything against the 'west coast' hosses, but I don't think Yankee Bravo is the best one over there. I'd much rather take a shot with Colonel John. JMO.

He has a chance.I don't think he wants it quite as badly, but he should get the distance.

I can't believe I just spent the last 15 mins reading this thread and what have I learned?

I'm not at the end of the thread yet...

Well my 2 cents are there will be good derby opinions, there will be bad derby opinions, and there will be many opinions that fall in between the cracks of both good and bad. That's why it's the Kentucky Derby...Everyone will have one including Paris Hilton.

Agree with that. I'm no where near my final opinion anyway. We'd probably all be a lot better off if we just capped the Derby like we did any other race. It just makes for some interesting banter leading up to it...

Brilliant stuff.

You lied when you said he stinks. If he stinks, then you wouldn't have worried about the odds. Why would you care(if you think he stinks, then he can't win.)Fact is you don't really think he stinks. If you're worrying about odds, then you think he has a shot to make you pay me.

Isn't the ex-Yankee Bravo managing the Dodgers now?? Everyone already knows Eight Belles would be the hands down Derby winner if she weren't running in the Oaks. :D

Oh really. We are going out of our way to go after this guy? Well, lets watch the race at Anita on Dec 29th,race 8. Now,please tell me(if this guy can ride) then why has he got this horse in such an awful position? Bravo bails him out. That doesn't mean it was a good ride.Means he made up for the handicap of having this fool ride him.

What about the premature move Feb 13th in race 8(on Street Boss.)This is a horse who is accustomed to making the lead mid stretch or later, and he asks him to protect the lead after making the lead on the turn.Meanwhile,Bejarano has the strength to control his horse nicely, and simply feasted on this guy's poor decision.

SCUDSBROTHER 03-12-2008 06:37 PM

March 2nd race 7 at Anita.See Solis ride #8 NERINX?...See him ride wide...See him ride even wider...great huh? He just continues tapping left-handed.

Well,Hooves,People want to know why I say he rides crappy.I was just getting around to answering him.Lot of people said stuff, and wanted to know why I think stuff etc. So,I will answer them. They can delete the thread anytime they want.I wouldn't say I love Yankee Bravo. As you can see,I was looking for 100-1 on him.I can't love the chances of a derby horse with SOLIS on,but he is a derby contender.Crist,Drugs, the Andy Chalk etc. have all had to make their opinion known that they think he isn't a derby contender. They have taken a negative opinion on a horse.I don't agree. That's all. They are just used to running people over, and so they take great offense when somebody asks them to show evidence supporting their opinion. They can't show that evidence. He has run well in all 4 races over 4 different surfaces.3 wins and a 3rd.Show me how they can say the horse isn't a legit contender? All I am saying is they can't rule him out as a contender(not with the evidence so far,and just 4 races.)I am not the extreme opinion here.Their's is extreme. All they say is he stinks,or to like him is ridiculous. That's not evidence. It's just rhetoric. It's a long thread, but nobody has said anything to support the opinion that the horse isn't a legit derby contender.I've given plenty of reasons why he is a legit derby contender. They have not supported their opinion at all. They just try to act superior when they say their opinion, and hope nobody notices they've said nothing to back up their opinion. So,you can try to get rid of the thread, but until they support their opinion,I don't think the thread is complete.

DaHoss: "Sent To Stud, I disagree about not betting first time starters on the Aqu Inner. Sometimes they are good value."

Yeah, when they win 3% of the races, sure.

That's ok, Jay. We're here to help.

Yawn.

But aside from Pyro winning convincingly again, there were a few positives to take from his performance. As trainer Steve Asmussen noted after the race, Pyro was into the game early, racing in easy striking distance. When a closer like Pyro is not at the mercy of the pace, he is a much more dangerous performer. And Pyro made a couple of moves Saturday, an asset that can often be helpful in oversized fields like the Kentucky Derby.

Those are nice plusses, for sure. But they're not enough for me to think that it still isn't Pyro looking up at War Pass, who defeated him all three times they met last year, instead of the other way around

LOL. I won't answer (don't want to be a bitch, son plus I already skooled you on that) but I will say you should continue be careful and never consider the thoughts of people who bet real money and do not especially care to limit their thoughts to only the two Derby favorites 7 weeks out.

If you are not careful, you will jeopordize your opinion rating. Safer to stay in the box.

As an aside, who you calling bitch, bitch?

What he is saying is that it is his opinion that the surface really doesn't matter, that he has run well over 4 different surfaces.

someone please put this thread out of its misery.
