He should be fired, hes a pig. A disgrace

i wonder if he'll resign today. i think he will. and then he'll need a defense lawyer, as well as a divorce attorney. but maybe he can get the wife to hang around long enough to get the criminal stuff out of the way, for some reason the wife by the side is felt to be a necessity when facing criminal charges.

He wasn't going to resign immediately. That's just rumor swirling and of course opponents calling for it. It was probably also Wall St. and certain aspects of the corporate world celebrating a bit as well, LOL. Strategically, unless there is an abuse of office, state dollars, fraud, etc. -- a politician will not immediately resign unless it's to prevent a matter or matters from getting worse and opening the door to massive liabilities. It's assess first, then damage control if need be. If there's much more -- then bail. Everyone here expects that the dam will break soon, but whether or not it is the case is another issue.

If he resigns, in reality it won't be due to "what he did" -- more so due to him now being "unable to lead". The hypocrisy and complete elimination of his integrity will make him completely unable to lead.

I don't think he'll get indicted, not for the criminal act in and of itself. If he does, it might be more for who he is rather than what he did. Although I have zero background in criminal law, but some practical experience, it is somewhat rare for "clients" of prostitution businesses to be criminally indicted or prosecuted for their illegal act. Of course if there were other issues -- abuse of office, state funds, etc., then it's a different story.

Fools.

This is none of your concern.

You are not allowed to play.

This incident is between the warring families of government; The Democrate's and the Repulicanano's.

The real dealing has already taken place. A federalis source has let one side know what is about to happen. If they do not have enough on the other side----well the gov gets given up. What plays out now is scripted.

Remember.....this is through the looking glass here... where the crinminals adjudicate the criminals. The guilty judge the guilty.

Especially in DC where everyone cheats, steals, lies to and fucl<s everyone else.

And don't think tradeoffs have not already taken place. You don't think this guy is the only "usual suspect" on that clients list---do you?

Mortimer 03-11-2008 01:34 PM

I win.

Allegedlly Spitzer has been informed -- by Republican party leaders -- that he has 48 hours to resign or articles of impeachment will be introduced and brought forth.

Perhaps the clock is running.

Turns out old Elliot didn't just get caught by accident. The IRS was looking at the suspicious movements of large amounts of cash from his accounts as possible corruption and that led to the prostitution ring. So on the bright side, he wasn't taking bribes. In addition, did he use State transportation to his trysts? How about State police for protection during his "private matters"?
The real cherry is that he used his "friend's" name for hotel rooms etc that got Mr. Fox involved in a Federal investigation. What a sc-mbag.

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-11-2008 04:33 PM

Seems that the "Spitz" was doing this for six years or as long as a decade. Wonder what other things he did as Attorney General.....doesn't matter what political party you are, when you're this crooked.....you pay the price!

AS long as they're not involved with minors I could care less who they are "not having sex with!" (or whatever clinton spewed about that!)...who they are having sex with...who they are seeking to have sex with...who they are paying to have sex with. They're politicians...the most corrupt people walking the planet for the most part. It is all quite humorous...you had the Hart's, Clinton's and all the Kennedy's...then recently all the repub stuff with Foley, Craig, Vitter, the guy in Illinois who was married to the Star Trek babe...he was so important I have no clue what his name is...gingrich...the youthful indiscretions of that Hyde guy when he was in his mid 40s!! Now another big democrat in NY down the tubes.

All I know is the one thing about both big time repubs and dems you can count on is these guys are getting massive amounts of non-marriage tail non-stop be it male or female...endlessly.

Today is the first time in my life I ever heard of the guy. Another brain dead politician...wow. Big surprise it has happened once again. I guess if I lived in New York I'd probably care more about it.

So I don't know much about the guy...would this news qualify as funny or sad?? You simply cannot find a non-corrupt politician anywhere. It is a null set. And we get tossed into elections with both sides continually throwing up more curruptness endlessly. AS a nation, whether we like it or not...I think it is going overboard on the endless fascination of who people are having sex with...especially politicians.

Because the guy went after white collar
crime with a vengeance and for good reason.
He got a lot of high profile cheaters thrown
in jail.
He was supposed to be squeaky clean, the
governor of a very important state.

Sure, no big deal.

The fact that it was prostituition makes
it more than ironic. Read the bio...
It is a big story.

Danzig 03-11-2008 09:09 PM

$80k they say he spent on prostitutes....there is NO way, if i was his wife, i'd have gone to that press conference. no way.

It kind of looked like she wanted to grab his nuts and pull them over his head. Now that would have made for some good reality TV!

Why dont any politicians wives do what normal wives would do. Hit you with a frying pan, try to run you over with a car, the normal stuff women do when they catch you cheating. These ladies really stand by their men, regardless of what pieces of **** they are.
