chuck is da MAN !!!!! can he pick horses out for us or what.

Riot 12-28-2007 01:30 PM

Geesh ... my heart can't take this horse-racing thing when you have a vested interest for your friends, too exciting .... god help us at the first Dee Tee win!

Can't wait for the pics to come in from Tampa from the DT crew ... okay, back to work now!

ArlJim78 12-28-2007 01:33 PM

you have to be impressed with the way she quickened stride late, that will win some races. didn't care for the ride though.

with some pace to help, this girl i think would luv to stretch out longer yet.

horseofcourse 12-28-2007 01:36 PM

Excellent job...we got 2nd place down pat!!!

Like Steve said, maybe there's a reason DT didn't win those earlier shakes ... KNS needed to be with Team Chuck.

cmorioles 12-28-2007 01:48 PM

You have to be careful betting those low percentage connections at a short price. :D

pdrift1 12-28-2007 01:55 PM

i'm thinking with a late kick like that , when we have to bring her back up north to churchill to face stronger and to put her in races to protect her, we hope for pace in our races and let her go longer(seems like giving her even more distance would suit her fine) she settles nicely and explodes in the stretch. whatcha think guys?

That Danica quiting on the turn and backing up in her face was a big part of the trouble. Can't fault Homeister for saving ground all the way and Chuck told her she did the right thing..

Her best Beyer coming in was in her longest race so it isn't hard to imagine that she'll be able to handle some more distance.

very much agree....if That Danica bears out a little when tiring the rail opens up and we win by daylight

The saying is "give a quitter more ground"

I think the trip was the problem. not the distance.

When I saw how much she was sweating in the post parade I thought.. too nervous . She ran pretty well today don't know if she should move up anytime soon but if we want to get 8-1 on her ever.. ;)

Scav 12-28-2007 02:24 PM

Gulfstream is a good idea, but it would be aggressive. I think it would be really nice to start the new year off with a win and then start going after the big dogs

i agree the trip was the problem here and not the distance. but i'm thinking ahead , she might be stronger yet at more of a distance when she comes to ky. and instead of putting her in a lower claiming class where she might win and get claimed, maybe move her up a little to a longer distance and a class thats a little stronger where she won't get claimed. she may surprise all of us and maybe can compete against stronger at a longer distance. maybe she would just relish more and do better against them

Running her for 50k and she might get claimed. Allowance company is most likely in her future.

Tom, if someone wants to claim her for $50k, we gleefully take our $30,000 in 90 day profit, dance a jig and get something better...

And we'll take the claiming party out for dinner too.

i agree thats what i'm concerned about . when she comes back to churchill will she be able to win at 50 claim against stronger or will we have to drop her to get a win at this distance against lesser but risk losing her. maybe a stronger group at a allowance level opt claim at longer she would fit right into.

The horse that beat her and wasn't claimed was coming off Beyers of 71/71/72 and wasn't even claimed in the $25K claimers during that stretch. KNS will be coming off something like 70/52/63 so I can't imagine she'd be claimed for $50K at this point. And while I'd love to keep her, like Steve said, if we can turn a $30K profit that quick it will be a good thing.

Payson Dave 12-28-2007 03:11 PM

I'm comfortable with having Chuck pick the spots to run her in...

steve, don't you think if we still have her when they come back from ky she would have to drop to a lower claim to get a win ? 50 at churchill will be alot stronger then at tampa at that distance

Great job Chuck and Steve, I was hoping she would get there, all we needed was just a little more ground. I had to watch on a small TV at OTB, the trouble was clear, but I thought that she may have been checked before she put in that great late run. We have ourselves a runner! :D

I am surprised by this but I understand it. She absolutely had to run a top today and I think she has the potential to get into the 5's TG wise, and 5's win minor stakes races

Understand that this WAS NOT a real "$50k claimer".

is it more like a true 20-25,000 claimer? why do they make the race 50 and not just what it is? curious? is it so it gives horsemen a place to run without losing thier horse? thats why i was thinking if this was a true 50 at churchill this would have been and would be much tougher and she would need to drop to win

So that these NW2L horses can get runs in at a 2nd win WITHOUT getting claimed.. (the way we claimed KNS out of a straight $20k claimer).

If it was a real $50k claimer, they wouldn't have been running for $16,000 in purse money.

You know, we have to make sure we get the cookie-dough-eating-monster-blinkers-on-head pre-race good luck angle done on KNS next race ;)

2 Dollar Bill 12-28-2007 04:52 PM

Nice Job Team Simon , the girl looked great and had her head in the wind as she pushed to the wire. As long as she came back safe and sound, I'll take the second place finish. After watching SWLY & KNS (and being a partner)... Could I ask if its ok for the next Dee Tee Stable Horse to be called ........Place ? :D Just joking..... I cant wait for the First Dee Tee Stable Winners Circle & Party !!!!

Antitrust32 12-28-2007 05:37 PM

she ran so good I was so impressed! Thank you Chuck and Steve and all of Chuck Simon Racing! We have a racehorse on our hands! Will be excited to see how she does next out.. second off a "Chuck" layoff!

geeker2 12-28-2007 06:12 PM

Thanks Chuck and Steve....watching that race was worth the share price.

Can't wait until next time!:)

Danzig 12-28-2007 06:28 PM

got to see the whole race on hrtv, on tape as i just got home. thank goodness for dvr. kickin looked good, shame she couldn't find a little room a little earlier, as she'd have won the thing.
maybe next time, and maybe i'll be there in person! hope everyone had a good time there. look forward to meeting you at a track in the near (i hope) future.
