Start off Round 11 with Saratoga Lullaby in the 5th at MTH.
|
CD R8 - Icy Atlantic
CD R10 - Fabulous Strike |
jman, good start. No show betting on the Monmouth race, but both your picks at CD came in.
You need to re-establish the default for what happens if you have a loser in the midst of a set of picks. Automatic restart of the next round or cancel the remaining picks? --Dunbar |
ahhhh, just keep going.... :)
|
I'll take the 1 at MTH, R3.

Funny, jman, I almost started my own sequence here with Any Given Saturday in the 5-horse Brooklyn Hdcp a couple days ago, and now you show up (so to speak) after a 2-month absence.
I was surprised Belmont didn't cancel show wagering in the Brooklyn, and further surprised that AGS did not command as much of the show pool as I expected. I was expecting over 90% of the show pool to be on AGS, but it was more like 83% Good luck with your series. --Dunbar |
9/25 Fairmount Park R1 - Just Viareggio - WON paid $2.60 - Running Total = $364
9/25 Kentucky Downs R1 - Predestined - 2nd paid $2.40 - Running Total = $437 9/25 Philly Park R6 - Nerve - out of the money, horse broke down or was eased, 1st 2nd and 3rd paid 25.80, 51.80 and 106.00 to show respectively! Rd 12 ended with 7 picks and a bankroll of $437. Rd 13 commences with the last two picks for today... 9/25 Kentucky Downs R2 - Thong or Panties - 2nd paid $2.10 - Running Total = $105 9/25 Fairmount Park R4 - City's Honey - WON, but no show wagering. |
Start today with the 2nd pick of Rd 13 (overall, I have yet to connect on 10 consecutive picks). Yesterday saw a nice bankroll topped out at $437.

jman, I think I'll start a series of my own. It will be structured similar to yours, except mine will concentrate on more like the bridgejumper type situations. I will be surprised if any of mine pay more than $2.20; most will pay $2.10. Like yours, a "round" will consist of a parlay of 10 show bets beginning with a $100 bet. If I win 10 in a row, I'll have between $160 and $200, and I will start a new parlay with $100. I will probably need to successfully complete at least 6 of my 10 ten-race parlays to show a profit.
I'll hope to do 10 rounds, but it may take awhile. If a horse loses, a new round will automatically start with the next listed post-time. Round 1 1. 9/29 TP R10--Street Sense --Dunbar PS, if you prefer I do this in a separate thread, don't hesitate to say so. |

I get the sneaking suspicion that Bay Meadows will get me yet again. I'm like a bug to the zapper. But, if you're doing a show parlay, how can you turn down like 5 straight 5 horse fields??? :p
|
Rd 14 ended after 8 picks at a bankroll of $203.
Rd 15 commences now... 9/27 BM R8 Molly's Durango - 3rd paid $2.40 - Running Total = $120 More tomorrow, maybe... I'm getting a little burnt out stringing all these together and losing at the very end! |

Meadowlands R1 - coupled entry, 1 and 1a OFF THE BOARD
I knew I was overdoing it a little, but WOW... had the best speed in the race couple with the best form on paper and one managed to walk across the finish line and the other one lost it's jockey in the stretch... that's the way it goes. Rd 15 came to an end after 7 successful picks and a bankroll of $450. |

With the kind of payoffs you are getting, you only need to be successful 2 out of 10 times to show a nice profit. But it still ain't easy. --Dunbar |
