Nothing personal, but the whole story has to be garbage. I really don't think you could win 30 of 31 playing claimers, even if the race was fixed. 20 of 31 would barely be believable.

You claim to be able to make a call and find out this or that. You know who did or didn't broker a horse deal. Sure. Just as sure as when you first say you're going to bet $250 on the horse, then it turns into $150 when it runs up the track. Uh huh, of course, sure. Uh huh.

How the hell do you know what an offshore book will or won't take in the last few minutes before post? Did you make a quick phone call on that as well?

How the hell do you know how/where/when these people placed their wagers? You're watching the money? Good keep watching. Take a look at the crystal ball / magic 8-ball / shrunken head, whatever.

You sound ****ing ridiculous. As you would say, so shall I ... on the 1% chance you know anything, I won't refer to you as a stupid ****ing idiot.

Aside from that, you're a great guy.

I did check out Oracles horse and he might have bought him, it just wasn't for IEAH. He probably bought him directly from Ritvo. As for the offshore question, lets just say I have some family members that take bets for a living. ;) They sometimes try to pawn off bets to the offshore books and they won't take them. Offshore accounts are very sophisticated, they don't allow people to hammer them with wiseguy picks. Do you live in the real world? Yeah, I sound ridiculous but the guy who claims to know people who picked 30 out of 31 doesn't. You can't be that stupid. Can you? Con Artists love you types.

Go by 7/11 and get some and grab a Big Gulp too! :)

I keep a bag of horse Peppermint treats in my car in case I forget. It is quite a commical event. Hose off Buck and I put him on the cross ties. Head to my car to get his treats. He watches me and does a low deep whinney. He knows where I am headed and doesn't take his eyes off of me. Everyone at the barn laughs. He knows the routine.

They would take a $2000 place bet without question at a legit track. They do not take $7500 win bets at the post. They just don't do it. Do you think they are in the business to lose money?

1) You can start betting on Pinnacle at like 8am CST, how do you know they didn't put 1k an hour until post?

2) I have personally put two $1,000 wagers, that were in my wager q, with horses in the gate, to place on a horse at Belmont....I am going to try and find the wagers tonight to prove it to you

OMG, well if he's not the laziest, he for sure is in the top 3. Wow, no wonder.

eurobounce 06-22-2006 02:37 PM

They dont bet through an off-shore account. They go to Hoosier Park in Anderson Indiana to bet. But these guys are my neighbors. I dont think they are con-artists. They had legit jobs before they retired. One was a dentist and the other worked at eli lilly. Now they both work for Avis Rent A Car driving cars back and forth two days a week. I have known these guys for several years. I dont know why anyone would make up a story about losing $2500. But they are good handicappers. And they won 18 in a tow until today. Before that they won 13 in a row. That is very plausible if you pick your spots and get lucky. But these are good men.

Ok, I take it all back. You are indeed a stupid f'ing idiot. You were wrong about the Oracle horse, you have no idea about sportsbooks and you obviously can't count as well as a ****ing 2nd grader having ****ed up the total win pool you quoted on the race. What kind of fool "Watches" the money closely in the last couple minutes and thinks it really matters. Nobody with any ****ing sense, that's who. And just because your fateher or mother may be runners for a numbers operation means absolutely nothing in terms of you knowing how sportsbooks work. I've used 3 online sportsbooks and I can assure you two of them will take the kind of action we're talking about here on a short-priced horse, either online or by phone.

Stick to talking about what you are knowledgeable on. Let us all know when you find it.

First off, when have I bet boxing? I have bet on alot of stuff, but to this date, not boxing....ever

You feel bad for me? No, I feel bad for you that you have to condrict everything people have to say.

If I am up 5k, what is playing a $2,000 place bet matter, I am playing with their money. When i am up, I go for the jugglar.....This isn't my primary source of income, when it becomes that i will play tighter

Sure, I am the idiot. I am just gonna guess you never even had enough money to make a large bet with a sports book, because THEY DO NOT TAKE THEM IN THE LAST MINUTE OF BETTING. What don't you understand about that? You are almost as full of crap as the other guy.

I hope you are lying because I feel bad for you if you dropped that type of money. If you are serious, get the ticket. Not saying you were the victim of a con, but that is one of the oldest cons in betting. Nobody wins 30 out of 31. It just doesn't happen in horse racing. In fact, my cousin said it doesn't even happen in football betting where guys get on runs. He said the best he has ever even heard of is 13 out of 14 in football where it is 50-50. Either I am sorry you lost, sorry if you were the victim of a con, or happy if you are just full of it like everyone on chat rooms.

Sonny, you are a ****ing fool. In fact, you win the Spitshine Tommy Award for the month.

Now you're going to tell me what kind of money I have. Hope yuou feel better.

I just hope your family gives you enough money to keep you happy, but not enough to get into a lot of trouble. Lord knows you don't have the good sense to go out and earn it on your own.

I believe you were the one saying you were going to vegas to bet on boxing. Look, I spent a few years in the military and now own a car dealership, and I know gamblers/conmen and salespeople, just be careful. If you keep betting like that you are going to get yourself in trouble with the wrong people.

He said this:

"Does anyone know that if there is a big fight out there (Mandalay Bay) will the other sportsbook purchase the fight for others to watch? UFC has a huge match when I am out there, and I am going to unload on Ortiz to smoke Shamrock, hoping to watch it...I am praying for a Pick Six carryover that is huge somewhere for that Friday so I can play it, hit it for 50k and then take everyone to the fight ringside and get sloppy drunk and start fights of our own. Guessing that won't happen, I want to watch Ortiz whoop his behind......"

And I think he was kidding...

I dont understand why that is so hard to believe. I mean if you bet Cigar you won 16 times in a row. But I have seen their winnings and losing over the past years. Believe what you want. I lost $2500 so I have lost everything that I won over the past 3 months--lol. I think anyone can hit tons in a row if you bet 10 times a year. Especially when you wager on heavy favs in small fields.

1) I have never bet with a bookie......

2) I am going to Vegas for a bachelor party, I asked about the UFC fight that is going on there, no way I am going to play Ortiz at -550, that is moronic

3) I appreciate your concern, but those people you are talking about, I know all too well, which is the exact reason I will never place a bet with a bookie

I put $500 into my pinnacle account and see how far it takes me, sometimes I wager for four days, sometimes I wager for two hours

My family give me money? I have owned my own car dealership almost since the day I got out of the service. A family member is very involved in the gambling business and I don't call him, I just send him an e-mail. He thought the 30 out of 31 was the funniest thing he ever heard. I have to agree.

You know what, as long as you aren't the victim of some con, I could care less what you say. I don't believe it but who cares what I believe. Just don't give your money to people to bet for you unless you get a ticket. It is a really old con. Oftne people never see their money even if they do win because these guys keep the money and find another horse.

I didn't bet him 3-5 is too short for my taste. Even money is where I draw the line.

I saw the "manager" slap a "certified" sticker on the car's windshield before the porter had removed the old owners plates.

Anyone who buys a used car without having their own mechanic check it over is a fool. Car dealers will **** you if given the chance. That is one thing you can be certain about.

I bought the horse for one of its current owners, Sanford Robbins. Call Ritvo, ask him who bought it, I talkto him all the time. As for you, if that was some sort of retraction, it was a wise move.
