He is the lead singer in this group here.PRETTY SONG...Again the verses are better than the chorus(although it works enough.) That is quite a voice.Badboy has got extreme gifts.Weird .......very few people can say the word thigh in a song without turning most people off.

1) I think Enrique has a better tone, and probably writes better(more commercial) songs too. That doesn't mean he is a better singer than this guy you went to High School with.It means that for the types of songs they sing(and their audience....90% female,) Enrique would be the choice amongst those people(by a large margin.) They have done a really good job at figuring out that Enrique has what they call a "cry" in his singing voice, and they have gone to the bank with that. For the types of songs these 2 sing,I think he has a built in advantage there. The reason your guy isn't known much here is more about the songs though.Let's face it..Marc Anthony has made money here with some decent songs(he has very mediocre tone.....your guy there is a lot better than Anthony.)I don't know if your guy is singing in English anyways.Regardless...........he needs better songs. So does the Badboy I wrote about above. He has 1 song on that album("Deeper.")The others aren't important commercially.Your guy needs better songs(they are o.k.,but nothing that could be a crossover.)On the other hand ,we know about ENRIQUE IG. because he has commercial songs. He,or somebody he works with writes songs that sell albums. They know what their audience likes. This guy Nelson has written a decent song.It is somewhat commercially viable. That video will get some play on a Music Video Station here.No matter how good or bad his voice is,if he didn't write a good melody in the verse of that "deeper" song, then his album wouldn't sell half as much as it will.

I was more referring to what you considered a sexy voice... Enrique's voice doesn't turn me on, Fonsi's does. He could be singing me the ABC's and I'd be turned on.

Yes,I know. You just don't understand that your are in the minority there.Especially among younger woman that like the style (singing in Spanish or a Latin accent.) I think they like Enrique's voice better, and I know he has the better melodies.Your guy could cut into his action, but he needs a hit.Singer's get into the big time with melodies.Your guy has a good enough voice if he simply gets a killer song.

The reason I mentioned something about this badboy's voice(Nelson d. F.) is because I do think it is unique that he can have that song "Deeper" be commercially successful(and it will be.) I think his voice doesn't match those lyrics (that many people would find offensive.)It is a balancing act that I think worked because he has a very clean tone.A little higher than some .His voice is more soothing than confrontational.Matter of fact, there is a Cadillac Commercial with a similar singing voice being used. I think it is a unique case.I don't think it was bright to say that he was "(for sure) gunna hit that tonight." Fact is he sang it in a very pleasing to the ear melody(that was smart.)Probably the most unique song I have ever heard(when you add it all up...his type of voice..those lyrics,....and that melody.)

They say the world is small, but the differences between cultures (for instance American versus French Creole)is vast. A lot of the stuff we take for granted here(especially the role of women in society) is way different in some of these other cultures.

In so many cultures, the women, still have no role. None whatsoever. They are viewed as property, nothing more than second classs citizens. That is indeed a tragedy. I am glad that I was not born to such places.

Well,I just know this guy would have trouble if he was interviewed in a major magazine up here. The first thing he needs to do is never again be interviewed with members of his old boy band group in the room.A couple of them are about at the level of a 3rd grader.See,he is not a Rap Artist.God knows Rap Artists can just about say n' do anything up here, and there will be a market for their "music."
