Wow... you guys are harsh. Buffy needs to come on this thread with her "be nice" advice.
outofthebox, thanks for the info on the Tacoma. It's one of my top picks right now... I'm ready to get rid of this Nissan. :) |

Some trainers might say they find it unfair that the jockey gets the same percentage of the purse for winning that a trainer gets ( and in some cases more ). Not me of course. You trainers, and your staff do nothing, and don't risk your lives like jockeys do. Just ask Jeff Lukas. |

Just ask anybody......It's ALL about the JOCKEYS. Nothing else matters. |
with the amount of times horse racing has bent me over, im surprised i dont get asked to pay a portion of the jocks ins.
|
i'm with jfeld and outofthebox on this. jocks are subcontractors. their guild should be the one they go to regarding insurance.
also, just like any other job, some make more than others. some do better, some not so well. but everyones job is still their choice. obviously we'd all love to make more money than we do.....many stay at riding because they love it, it's what they want to do--and if you can make money doing something you love, than you've got a great job-at that point, it's not work anymore. if you're not a success, either try harder, or maybe move along and find something you can succeed at doing. |
Most profitable betting angle is Ohio State giving the points. GO BUCKS!!
