I dont blame the people for picking Fla to play in the game but come on if anyone in there right mind thinks that Fla will beat OSU your crazy this game won't be close, Fla too mistake prone to even hang around, this game will be over before halftime, 51 days of rest isnt so bad after you have played since August, I remember when we played in a bowl game the coaches take this time like another spring practice, you get your young players some reps and let the veterans have some time off they wont get fat but they will be ready to play for all the marbles come 1/8/07 OSU is just to good for this team at this time IMHO. OSU 41 Fla 17

Florida should be playing for the NC because they won the SEC. conference champs against each other. michigan had thier chance and blew it. gators also played 9 teams going bowling. i think? 4 of those teams were top 10 at the time they played.
Florida WILL give osu all they can handle because, osu has NOT played a team as fast as the gators. the gators CAN win.

pgardn 12-04-2006 07:42 PM

OSU is the better team.

But Florida has twice the speed of any team OSU has faced. Florida is the fastest team in college football. The overall athletic talent on the Florida team is huge. I just dont think they have it together quite yet. And that freshman they have is the next Reggie Bush.

They are much faster than OSU at every skill position with the exception of QB which is THE POSITION. But they are not a better team. Yes, their CBacks are faster than Ted Ginn. And Florida's receivers are lighting.

The only other team with more athletic talent than Florida is LSU. And they are not faster, just better football players. Watch how many of the kids off both these teams go as Corners safeties and wideouts in the future.

Where did you get #1 scavs? I would appreciate the story, I thought he was playing...

And Auburn (my alma mater) beat both of them. Don't know why they blew the Georgia game or they would be in the mix. Can't help but wonder if Auburn was in Florida's position if the system would have nixed them again. Two years ago Auburn went 13-0 in the SEC and did not get to play in the big game.

I think they got it wrong. The only team that can beat Ohio State is Michigan.
Woulda been a better game.

I see the big 10...er 11 going to 2 divisions and a championship game. Its the only thing keeping Michigan out. That and people didnt want a rematch?
Common. It's gonna happen more often .

Not just the BCS but ALL voting outlets is just a scam. It's no different than judging ice skating in the Olympics. I know it's been done this way since before we were all born but times have changed.

A play-off is the answer. A final four . The 2 major bowls as the semi's. 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3. Then the finals. Very doable. without even extending the season.

I was wrong, that was for the Big 12 Title game......honestly, I doubt he plays, strictly becuase of the Willis McGahee theory, he could cost himself millions for playing in a meaningless game, he is already a top 5 pick, and not going to be #1......

The old War Eagles have done fairly well over the years. Here is a listing of the all time best college football programs based on final season rankings in the polls:

how's your antique 1957 national championship telephone holding up after all these years?...in a month it'll be 50!

well, that's good, gives ya'll a reason to call for a square dance
and roll the town's trees with toilet paper
the basic concept of that is to do it to someone you don't like
not to yourselves~but whatever floats you guy's boat

Being new here, I have no idea which college banner you wave. Do you have a degree from any university, or are you one of those people that pulls for a team even though you couldn't find the campus on a map? Your profile indicates that you live in Kentucky. Maybe you better stick to basketball. Now go muck your stalls.

If you couldn't tell, he's an Alabama grad. ;)

Something tells me that he's well aware that the Bama campus is in Tuscaloosa. Lucky for you, it's easy to figure out where Auburn is located.

Well now, I don't mind at all being attacked by a fellow arch rival. That's what we are supposed to do. It's in the genes! :D BTW, I'm a Bama fan as a back-up and I live in Florida and hope they do well each year. Spurrier was "the man" as far as I'm concerned. Glad he left because it was getting really old trying to beat him. I was really disappointed by the Mike Shula firing at Alabama. Thought he should have gotten one more year. And for the record, FL will give OSU all they want. If the line stays like it is, I'm going FL. I also like LSU to soundly defeat ND. A big mismatch in my opinion.

ddthetide 12-05-2006 04:59 PM

BR,
way to bust the barner.
i've been away and missed a good thread.
let's find a coach and go beat the pokes in the independence bowl.
