Listen to Casse on ATR yesterday.
He outlines the race from 1.57 - 2.07

He likened MS to a drunken driver, swerving out, then in, then out.

Jason Servis' take - https://www.app.com/story/sports/hor...by/1139284001/ .

He mentions that Maximum Security experienced cuts on his hind two legs from the race (I hope he has pictures or a vet report). What's in question is whether the cuts are a result of contact made by War of Will when he attempted to go around him or were they a result of the subsequent contact when Maximum Security came out. It's seems like the racing world is split on this.

I sure wish that the meeting they are supposed to have tomorrow would be televised/streamed live for the rest of us to see.

UK rules on DQ - class 1 and class 2

" Changing to international rules for disqualifications is necessary....."

" I spoke with a UK horse player who said that if this happened in any country other than the United States or Canada, the disqualification never would have happened, since Maximum Security won too easily. Researching the interference rules, I found out this is true. There are 2 classes for inquiries – Class 2, which the U.S. and Canada use, and Class 1, which is used in the rest of the world. Class 2 disqualification requirements as a result of interference are as follows:......."

If we had win wagering only, I could see where the case for using Category 1 rules might be stronger. As it is, with all the (vertical) exotic wagering, I don't think strict application of those rules would go over well. By way of example, I don't think many American bettors would respond favorably to the non-DQ of Golden Horn in the 2015 Irish Champion Stakes: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t3SzNAeq_rM.

Well what do you know? It seems like there have been other objections in the derby! Including this gem called the "Fighting Finish".

A history for the interested.
