Repent I would expect you to be the last person to sue a company because you burned your crotch after spilling hot coffee on yourself. Many things happen in sports that are completely random and no one is to blame. The ball bounced the wrong way, tough luck.

It is the job of sports announcers to lay blame on a team, player, GM etc... even when events are actually totally random. Very un-Republican of you. A party switch seems imminent.

Again, if Invasor had not entered this race... Cunningham would be able to post again, and Bernardini would enter the top 10 horses of all time. I find this scenario amusing.

I had red rocks, round pond and invasor in my late pick four. I just didnt have that damn miesques approval. The funniest thing was that i went deepest in the mile. Go figure. that 48 dime payout really hurt.

you hear the bells and whistles going off? we have a winner folks!! bernardini ran the same race he's been running all year, not worse. the same. and this time it wasn't enough for first, unlike against the cupcakes he's been tackling much of the year. it was almost enough, but you see what happens to 'won going away' when the level of competition is so much better? HE doesn't improve, unlike what many thought. and the gap shrank considerably, as well it should.

I love starting trouble like this thread by making one post and then going to bed. I woke up and found 70 responses. Its quite amusing.

the training was fine, bernardini ran like he always did. why can't everyone recognize that? time was the same as his other efforts at this distance, similar beyer--just this time his talent wasn't head and shoulders over the competition. only invasor beat him, not like he was beat a mile, he just couldn't win by his usual margin, because he wasn't facing the same type of horses.

Zieg while I agree with everything you wrote(I'm just loving all the Dini is the greatest horse who ever lived nitwits having to sit there and eat ****), fact is that he(Albertrani) had every edge over Invasor(KMC) in that race.
Albertrani wasn't the one who was forced to scratch his horse out of the JCGC, he got his ideal prep.
Kiarin and his brother Neal were forced to prepare Invasor off a WHITNEY LAYOFF!!!!!! And prepare he did!!!

Met Kiarin's brother Neal at a Jiffy Lube up here in Saratoga(already knew Kiarin) the day before I left for Kentucky, it was quite ironic. I had called Kiarin the day before to make an offer on a cheap NY bred he had for a Finger Lakes guy who is a client of mine. I was waiting for them to get done changing my oil and the lady behind the counter said "Mr McLaughlin, your car will be ready in 20 minutes" to the guy across from me. He had on a DUbai World Cup hat and red hair and I just looked at him and said "you just have to be Kiarins brother". He was also getting to travel down to Ky and we chatted about a few things, what a great guy. He said the horse had never trained better in his life, and I hope the folks who I passed that on to in the Friday night chat via telephone link got some.
Trust me, the good guys won that race.

Exactly - it's not like Bernardini ran last. He ran a very good race against a very good older horse, but it wasn't enough. Unfortunately, it happens. Tom had no control over how any of the other horses ran in the race. His colt ran terrific, but what was he supposed to do about Invasor? It happens - it's not Bernardini ran up the track.

The real agenda has finaly come out. Repent trying to blame someone for his betting mistake and totaly nothing to do with horseracing. He should use my excuse "The Devil made me do it".
