Along with Mr. P he was the one I always wanted to see the most when I went to Claiborne. Though, having seen so many of them race, it was fun to see them all. I only saw Easy Goer once, Forty Niner a couple times, and Lure once ( I got to feel where he had the ball on his tendon ).

i think it was the best part of my vacation. so much racing history at that farm...lol still can't get over monarchos just standing there eating up all the attention. pulpit even behaved himself when the groom brought him out.

I loved Easy Goer as much as pretty much any horse I ever saw. Not saying he was the best, though he was at least close, but I loved him.

I saw virtually every race he ran live. I was there for every start of his 2YO year, save his debut when he lost to Lorenzoni, I missed his Florida debut as a 3YO as well as the Derby and Preakness and then I think he debuted as a 4YO in Florida. Otherwise I saw them all.

Me too...

Was he a nice horse, though? How big was he, etc? I was obsessed with the horse when I was a kid. We never made it out to Claiborne when I was a kid, so I never saw him up close. :(

They all look the same to me.....maybe different colors....but four legs, a mane, tale, etc.

I try to stick to my strengths....and finding pretty horses isn't one of them. I think they all pretty much look good.
