He pretty much said his peace Tuesday (2nd hour).

Because like everything else in today's society, it's a microwave saga spurred and egged on by social media. For people that don't "want" to hash this out publicly, they both are out there....

Nobody said that ( except you ). What I suggested was that people, given there is no way they know the actual story, might want to at least be a little more open to there being more to the story.

My bad. I've caught most of this week's shows, but must not have listened to that segment yet.

There is no way to know any "actual story" unless you are one of the two parties. All people can do is comment on is what has been presented to us by the media. That applies to any story. The "Snap Judgement" you cite may be due his history with previous trainers and people not giving him the benefit of the doubt based upon that. I would really be interested on Chuck Simon's take on this.

But I can certainly understand him choosing to not comment on the matter.

I called McIngvale's operation 'laughable connections that would never win' in January on twitter as well as on air and feel that the assertion has been borne out even with Runhappy's success. You can hear my comments on the latest imbroglio ham-handed Gallery Racing finds itself in from Tuesday's show at the start of Hour 2.

I wanted to make sure that it was clear that bloodstock agents Kerry Thomas and Pete Denk received appropriate credit for finding the horse and driving his purchase (despite the spin machine claiming otherwise) and that when I saw Runhappy up close before and after the King's Bishop, only Maria Borell was around him. Those are 2 of the facts I could speak to directly. I won't engage in the reporting of innuendo and smears as being practiced by the dysfunctional, shockingly bizarre horse owners.

Yes, I missed that before. Handled with class on the show. Great job as usual.

Hmm, what do you know. Picked up the oct 31 bloodhorse to read on the road, and theres an article about mac, runhappy, etc...with mack saying he wsnts his horse to be the most popular in racing.
and the racing manager....she heads the furniture service dept....

robfla 11-05-2015 04:33 PM

Talk about bizarre. Here is Mac's statement from after RH's maiden win:

“The goal was to get him to run as a 2-year-old so he has a chance to win the GI Kentucky Derby,” McIngvale explained. “Because you have to run as a 2-year-old to have a chance to win the Kentucky Derby. So we got it in right there at the wire. And he gave us all some excitement and some humor yesterday. And we thought it was great.”

Maria answered every question I had and just seemed like a nice person overall. I hope I get a chance to meet her again one day.

And I agree that she is beautiful too.

Runhappy/Maria Borell

MARIA AND RUNHAPPY
By now you all know about the situation with Maria Borell being removed as the trainer of Runhappy the day after winning the Breeders' Cup. Not only did she get removed, she apparently did not get paid by the owner the 10% commission that is standard in the industry.

She has had to retain an attorney to help in this matter. All of this has put her in a difficult financial spot. For anyone interested in helping her, there was a "Go Fund Me" account set-up for her.

I hope she gets paid...and as much as i hope Run Happy stays well.....I wont root for Mac with any horse he owns....EVER!

Danzig 11-11-2015 09:35 AM

i just wonder how this will go, if they didn't pay her a trainers typical ten percent after any other race.
ought to be interesting.

Alabama Stakes 11-11-2015 09:46 AM
