So far so good against the Cards. Amazing that St Louis only has one homer since the all-star break.

The Bucs have fallen into a virtual 2nd place tie with the Reds. The Pirates have now lost four in a row (three to the Cards). It's hard to win when you don't hit or pitch. Hopefully they can turn it around soon.

What a revolting development!...a month ago they had the best record in the Majors!..now have to dig in to make the playoffs:eek:

Cole has been great the last month or so. Has learned from Burnett to go for the strike out instead of letting the ball be put into play. His strike out totals are way up and ERA down.
