and yes, mitt is a conceited, arrogant, idiot. i feel that's exactly why he won't issue prior year returns, it'll put him in a bad light-and he's already in hot water.
and if one more person says 'yeah, but obama should show his transcripts' i think my head will explode. wtf do transcripts have to do with policy? but you can bet your sweet ass i want to know exactly what mitt thinks-and how he acts-regarding income and taxes, and loopholes. and nothing would exhibit his thought processes more than seeing what he did with his money.

I have never given any flack to the President for his continuation of Bush's policies that led to the discovery and killing of OBL and will continue to give credit to the operatives that performed the task and the President for giving the order.

thing is tho...a lot of people do cling to their guns and bibles. he had a point there. i know, i live around a lot of them.

There are many one-on-one interviews available on YouTube of the President talking, unscripted, both to individual reporters and press pools. Oh, and a major meeting that was televised live between Republican leadership and the President - which caused the GOP to cancel the idea of a monthly publicized meeting as Obama raked their asses over the coals on CSpan.

And there are several books discussing the "behind the scenes" of the administration's first years in office.

Do you not read or watch television?

PS - your statement is called "a red herring" ;) Nice try changing the subject to an untrue falsity.

Here is the entire "guns and religion" quote by President Obama. The obvious difference between Obama and Romney? Obama wasn't dissing anybody, he was showing understanding and empathy.

Obama was also saying he would represent and help these people - as opposed to Romney saying he would ignore half of America.

Quote:

President Obama: But the truth is, is that our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there's no evidence of that in their daily lives.

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, a lot -- like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them.

And they've gone through the Clinton administration and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate, and they have not.

It's not surprising, then, that they get bitter, and they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. At least in some communities, anyway.

Always available for the hard hitting questions. Please.
Your defense of the President in all facets is a joke and you are the only one here that still seems to believe he is somehow different than the rest of DC, it is still a joke to watch you defend Him over and over again despite the fact that he is a typical Chicago style DC retread of those before him and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wall St.
Back on ignore with you.

Of course - ignore is easier than reading the info that you allege you seek. Or debate and discussion based upon questioning, rationality and facts. It's how cults like the rabid right wing (not conservatives) keep their members and keep the Obama Derangement Syndrome of fear and scare tactics brewing.

Look out! His middle name is Hussein! MUSLIM! KENYAN! NOT ONE OF US! ANTI-AMERICAN COLONIAL VALUES! BIRTH CERTIFICATE FAKED! APOLOGIES FOR AMERICA! COMMUNIST! CHICAGO POLITICS! OWNED BY WALL STREET! SOCIALIST!

I especially like the "owned by Wall Street" one - LOL

Good for Romney for having the guts to stick by his words unlike the lying weasel Obama who couldn't admit that he attended a church every Sunday for 20 years and listened to some nut job spew racist hateful garbage.

I am still trying to figure what was wrong with what Romney said, big deal he insulted lazy, freeloading moochers who weren't voting for him anyone. He correctly stated that he doesn't have to worry about getting their votes because they are obviously voting for their sugar daddy Obama. Besides the usual nut liberal writers and bloggers I really don't see anyone else making a big deal about this, but then again those nut job liberal writers have been trying to bring down Romney since day one so maybe most people have just tuned them out.

Personally I am more concerned that Obama is more concerned about the feelings of murdering, intolerant thugs over protecting the free speech rights of an American, if he gets away with this who knows which rights he will be coming for next.

Clip-Clop 09-18-2012 04:53 PM

wasn't there a lot of fair share raising taxes on the wealthy talk four years ago that never really materialized?

Yes - do you know what that was not passed? Hint: Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Eric Cantor. But, Obama has done other things to start to lower the deficit on his own.

Do you know where The American Jobs Act is? Blocked in the House. Where the Veterans Jobs Act is? Blocked in the House.

Do you know how many jobs bills to help Americans the House has passed in the past four years, "Job One is creating jobs" according to Republican House Leader John Boehner? Zero.

That's right - the biggest unemployment since the Great Depression, and the Republican majority in the House have done exactly zero to change it - oh, they have blocked everything Obama has tried to get passed, which is why he's done all he can within the executive branch, which is why we've had 48 straight months of steady but low job growth, at least.

Mitch McConnell publicly stated he would sacrifice the country to defeat Obama. Paul Ryan, on the night Obama was inaugurated, was in a meeting with Frank Luntz and Newt Gingrich and other House/Senate Republicans devising ways to block any Obama accomplishments.

They deserve to be thrown out of government.

Not only is Obama going to win, but current polling shows the Democrats will likely hold the Senate, and now the House is in play. Those two bills can be passed in a few months, January 2013, as soon as the GOP obstructionists and Tea Party are removed from office. And that will create two million jobs by next summer. Nice.

And this sea change is being lead by Mitt Romney, the completely unqualified plutocrat government candidate, supported by gullible theocratic evangelicals.

The real remaining "Republican Party" members are standing back, aghast in horror at what has happened over the past 4 years, and hoping the party brand will emerge somehow from all this intact.

More on the new Romney video released today

Mitt's Middle Eastern Policy:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/0...lf?detail=hide

(Video available on page linked, above)
Quote:

Mitt Romney has spent the entire campaign falsely accusing President Obama of apologizing for America abroad and refusing to show leadership on the global stage, but Mother Jones has released a new batch of videos from the secretly recorded fundraiser and in those videos, Romney contradicts his publicly stated views and instead embraces a passive, pessimistic approach to foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, which he compared to the situation between China and Taiwan.

Quote:

During the freewheeling conversation, a donor asked Romney how the "Palestinian problem" can be solved.

Romney immediately launched into a detailed reply, asserting that the Palestinians have "no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish."

Romney spoke of "the Palestinians" as a united bloc of one mindset, and he said: "I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there's just no way."

Romney was indicating he did not believe in the peace process and, as president, would aim to postpone significant action: "So what you do is, you say, you move things along the best way you can. You hope for some degree of stability, but you recognize that this is going to remain an unsolved problem…and we kick the ball down the field and hope that ultimately, somehow, something will happen and resolve it."
So there you have it: Mitt Romney's policy for Middle East peace would be to "kick the ball down the field" and "hope" that the problem will fix itself.

Dems gave in on extending the bush tax cuts in exchange for keeping unemployment benefits funded. Just like this upcoming round, dems want only the middle and lower to keep the cuts. Reps want it to continue for the wealthiest as well and theyll let them all expire rather than give in, because of their pledge to norquist. Yeah, cause grover matters more than the populace does....

Obama was on Letterman today: unscripted and talking without a teleprompter.

Thepaindispenser 09-18-2012 07:52 PM

Riot as classy as ever.

Susan Rice doesn't go on Sunday shows with that lame excuse without Obama's prodding, Obama's asks Google to take down the video, the police suddenly show up at the filmmaker's door, open your eyes Riot.

Where is Obama's statement saying that I may not agree with the content of the film but I defend the filmmaker's right to free speech?

JMS you completely misread my post, a person collecting social security most likely worked their entire lives and paid into social security and a person who lost their job paid into unemployment and if they want to find a job are not mooching off of society. However lazy freeloaders who want freebies from the government without contributing are entitled, selfish losers who are clearly voting for their sugar daddy Obama.

Those LIRR injury faking scumbag scamming retirees now there are some solid Obama voters

With all the problems going on in this country and in the middle east, Obama has time to on Letterman to field softball questions while he doesn't even have the guts to face the liberal press in press briefings. Then the most divisive President in the history of this country has the gall to say the President has to work for all people which is not only completely contrary to his actions but is a deliberate misrepresentation of what Romney said. Oh yeah and then after Letterman, Obama was on his way to a Beyonce party. Good to see the phony is really feeling the pain of struggling Americans.

Clip-Clop 09-18-2012 09:54 PM

Letterman. There you have it. Celebrity President. Sad this world we live in. Do your job and stop campaigning for a day. Couldn't even observe his own pledge on 9/11.

Just curious how you know this to be true. Are you suggesting there are no lazy freeloaders voting for Romney? Here are the unemployment numbers for a few states from July.

MISSISSIPPI 9.1%
GEORGIA 9.3%
SOUTH CAROLINA 9.6%

Guess who a majority of the people from these states are voting for in November?
