I was against. I have said a few times. Paynter and Union Rags.

DRF......

“We don’t want to take any chances,” O’Neill continued. “The bottom line is it’s not tragic, no one got killed, there are much bigger issues in the world.”

O’Neill, who has handled himself with remarkable calm and class the last three weeks, called it “a huge disappointment. At the same time what a horse, what a run. Though it’s heartbreaking its not tragic. We’ll be back with another one, hopefully next year.”

Well at least Doug will have a few weeks to relax and plan his strategy for next year. Hopefully he'll have the hipster-laden beard to represent SoCal vapidness.

I personally blame the racinos.

I feel the same way Matt, what an absolute bummer. Need to have a big weekend at the windows and tables to get over this.

Still plan on using the day pass (they are too hard to come by), so hopefully I'll see you tommorrow.

RockHardTen1985 06-08-2012 11:25 AM

Dullahan 8-5 on the new morning line.
BEST BET AGAINST SO FAR THIS YEAR.

Ditto guys, I remember the excitement from the Derby and The Peakness, hope to rekindle the same when Street Life runs by Union Rags to catch Dullahan :D

Don't be surprised if Union Rags goes favorite.

I agree, and then thats the best bet against all year.
LOL
Paynter over 9-2 still?

Indian Charlie 06-08-2012 11:34 AM

maybe he was not going to be able to juice him at belmont tomorrow, so they came up with this!

Or they couldn't find any "red tape" to wrap him in.

Conspiracy theorists I'm sure are already thinking that it has something to do with a drug positive or something to that nature.

Arletta 06-08-2012 11:37 AM

Hell, at this point, I am betting Optimizer to win. :wf

my miss storm cat 06-08-2012 11:37 AM

I just logged on and thought what kind of sick and twisted joke.....

Very very disappointed.

I mean I'm glad he'll be okay, he comes first of course but... well nothing that hasn't already been said.

:(

Man. What a drag. Our sport for fans or horsemen is not for the weak of heart.

Feel awful for everyone involved.

Very glad IHA will retire healthy.

HEY! Heard alot of buzz about some 2 year olds training a houseafire at BHP. Who do we like for next years Derby?

This doesn't sound good.

He does not have the stallion credentials I look for at all...but someone will still pay, I guess.

Thunder Gulch 06-08-2012 11:52 AM

Just awful. My interest went from completely fired up about getting to the track early to I may just go to the golf tournament.
