Oh Yeah, I totally forgot that Gaborik basically put the puck in his own net in the double OT loss.

Yeah, you're right they were dominated..........:zz:

Now I'm offically done. :wf

If the Preds had anyone that could score consistently, they would be a force. Rinne is head and shoulders the best goalie in the playoffs and they play incredible team defense. Trotz has done a tremendous job there and the organization gets credit for sticking with him where a lot of other clubs might have pulled the plug on him.

Saying the Rangers were close in the Caps series is like saying the Lions were almost good last year because they lost 10 games by an average of like four points per game.

And Gaborik didn't even come close to putting the puck in his own net. Chimera was in the right place at the right time and buried the game winner.

Nobody despises the Rangers more than I do, but they gave the Caps all they wanted in the first round. It was mostly due to Lundqvist, but Washington had to work for everything they got...plus they got a HUGE break by having Callahan out.

So the Flyers and Caps are now in deep holes. Coming back from 0-2 when the two games were roadies is hard enough; coming back when both losses were at home seems nearly impossible.

rpncaine 05-03-2011 09:28 AM

Yeah, at least the Wings have home ice, but they better get this next one for sure.

slotdirt 05-03-2011 01:02 PM

I really hope Draper or Modano make an appearance tomorrow. Throw one of them in rather than Miller or Eaves even. No quit in Draper.

Caps showing their dominance again last night.

Really, it's just shocking the Caps have completely imploded in the playoffs.

I'd think the Eastern Conference team that makes the finals will just be fodder for the Canooges or the Sharks.

The Wings are officially in trouble. They've lost seven of eight to the Sharks in the playoffs - every god forsaken time by one goal. What the hell is that? I have Devon Setoguchi's assface.

Wings are 1-7 against the Sharks in their last eight playoff games with a cumulative score of 23-22. That is just unreal.

At least they kicked the Rangers ASS!

I love George McPhee, he was probably my favorite Ranger player of all time, and he was only there for a couple of years, but all of his top players came up quite small in those 4 games. I guess Ovechkin needs to find a new supplier ERRRRRRRRRR I mean personal trainer.

^^^The only one who cares during the biggest horse racing week of the year...

One can't care about both the Derby and NHL playoffs simultaneously? At least he doesn't have a justin dew-like obsession with Santiva...

herkhorse 05-05-2011 10:44 AM

justin dew-like :tro:

MaTH716 05-07-2011 06:42 AM

Maybe the higer up's in the Flyer orginization will finally realize, you kinda need a goalie to win this thing.

If I was a Flyer fan, I would be pretty pissed off that this wasn't addressed AGAIN this year at the trade deadline.

declansharbor 05-07-2011 07:59 AM

I try to laugh it off, bc if i didnt, id probably have no hair on my head from ripping it out...Im glad we got swept though, maybe this will now open up the eyes of Holmgren n Co and make them realize we cant win without a top flight netminder!

Go Birds!!

slotdirt 05-07-2011 08:20 AM

Wings staved off elimination for a night, but still played tight as can be for 3/5ths of the game.

OTOH, Ryane Clowe is a gutless asshat.

herkhorse 05-08-2011 09:38 PM

Wings came out with a different team in the 3rd, I thought for sure they were toast.
