Winner:

2nd place:

3rd and 4th place:

6th place:

Name all five.

I made a comment about six weeks ago on Talking Horses, sort of jokingly, that Albert the Great would have been 4:5 in this year's Classic.

Looking at those pps, that feels like an overlay.

She won her first five against males before getting nipped in the BC Sprint.

Name her.

Soviet Problem.

Didn't Meafara get nipped at the wire in two BC Sprints?

Yes.

She is currently making Clyde feel bad about something that makes no sense to me in an eso thread.

Name her.

Correct!

This horse was beaten by the Borel-CD freak Dream Scheme in Nov of '98 - but finished ahead of the following years BC Distaff winner in that race. The trainer of this horse commited suicide many years ago if I recall correctly.

Name her.

Sister Act.

blackthroatedwind 12-01-2010 01:08 PM

She was yet another horse that would have given Zenyatta all that she could handle....and then some.

And nobody even remembers her.

Correct.

Only defeat in the cut was to Daylami in the Man O' War.

Name him.

Correct.

He ran a pretty good 3rd after setting strong 47 flat and 1:10 and change fractions in the BC Turf the following year.

It's a practical miracle when one of our Turf horses wins the BC Turf now.

Artax.

He could have been a superstar, sprinting or routing, with a less incompetent trainer.

FATPIANO 12-01-2010 05:17 PM

Artax

Indian Charlie 12-01-2010 05:17 PM

Bradshaw actually ran that horse in the SA Derby knowing he was anemic.

It was bad enough he was running against the greatest horse in several years in that race, but to run him while anemic?
