Single payer? Naw, look at single payer! It's terrible! Canadians, the English and the French are falling like flies due to their terrible healthcare system. In the US, Medicare has killed off all the old people, they are dying in the streets due to the terribleness of single payer healthcare .... whoops.

The GOP says they are going to campaign this fall on repealing any healthcare reform passed.

If the GOP thinks that is the ready ticket to political and re-election success, then why don't they just step aside and let the Dems pass it?

Who said anything about charity? You think you don't get hidden benefits every single day from living in this country? The roads you drive, the water you drink, the food you buy, the medicine you buy, the TV you watch, your mail, your banks, the air you breath? Gimme a break.

Who exactly called for the complete abolishment of the govt? The difference between the govt serving its citizens and becoming intrusive is a fine line that you seem not to see. The fact that the GROWTH of govt that is seen by many to be troubling seems to elude you. The idea that the govt can run any business in an effective or efficent manner is not bourne out by the dismal performance of many govt run industries and the gaping money pits that many govt programs have become.

You need to read some of your posts. Do you even realize what you write? Seriously...

you made it sound as tho i should be grateful, that all i have comes from the govt. i disagree with that. those hidden benefits, folks like me pay for. i know where roads come from, i'm well aware of who pays for much of what others receive. people like me. you say the govt allows me to have what i have? i say it's because of people like me we have a govt that has money to pass out to others, and a way to pay for all the 'hidden' benefits. this govt is of and for the people. you seem to have that backwards. it's because of people like me, my husband, my uncle, untold cousins, my sons, my nephews, that we have what we have-that you have what you have.

oh, and my water comes from a very deep well in my yard.

It's just more, "Keep your government hands off my Medicare" - type true ignorance.

Someone thinks the FDA is worthless or useless? Go ahead. Abolish it as Arl Jim would love to see, and see what happens to your safety and lifestyle. FCC? Same thing. Agriculture? The Federal Court system?

Welcome back to life in the Third World. Your hard work and ingenuity will serve you well, but you sure won't enjoy the lifestyle and safety you have now. Who gave you the environment to be able to "earn where we are". Your government.

ah, irony

Ah. I see the problem. You are still confusing the nonsensical things you make up out of thin air and attribute to me, with reality.

Are you kidding?

I take responsibility for the things I write, but not the things people assume or make up in their heads.

Nope. Didn't say that at all. Don't think it in the least.

Nope. You've completely missed the point of what I wrote.

You have made numerous posts insinuating that those who may not be as infatuated with our govt as you seem to be are dense or stupid or ignorant. I was merely pointing out that you have for the most part misinterpreted the disdain that we have for an expanding role of govt and the govts general ineptness in many areas (most self inflicted). Of course I didnt "personally attack" you or call you names so your responses have been, in the words of Danzig, ironic.

And I am merely pointing out that repeatedly, your assumptions, presumptions, and wild-azzed guesses about what I am insinuating are just a bunch of wrong crap.

What you insinuate is mostly crap, that I will agree with.

our health care quality is a million times better than Canadians.. why do you think Canadians who can afford it come to America to get it?

I will. Shes outta her mind. And unfortunately our POTUS has a similar line of thinking.

Sorry, your assumption is wrong. I don't think anybody who thinks differently than I do is stupid.

And yes, when certain posters here - the same ones, over and over - can't seem to keep to debating subject, and start instead snarking at and insulting the posters, rather than the content, it is what it is. Sorry you don't like to see it named.

Some here can't stand the Dems, or Obama, and anybody who posts opposite to what they believe is snarked at or insulted, sworn at, etc. It's all some on this board can come up with.

Yeah, that behaviour isn't as "dense" as mistyping "too"
