I agree. Drugs look at the early fractions, why Castellano was dueling with the 4 is beyond bizzare to me. His ride was a disgrace.

Her connections did the right thing in skipping the Belmont and they've obviously been rewarded with a filly who's still just as good as she was earlier in the spring. I just don't understand how you or anyone could watch that effort and wonder if she can continue to run at a high level when it's exactly what she's done now for the better part of five months.

How do you quote three posts at once? That's very cool.

I question whether or not she can because (a) It's fun to play devils advocate (b) I enjoy finding favorites to try beat down the road and (c) The road from here does not get any easier.

I don't think my comments call for bolded repeats, multiple quotes and sarcasm. I'm just talking for the sake of discussions, which is fun in horse racing, and in my opinion, has some legit merit in this case.

I for one want it to be at CD, give RA 10 pounds, match race to boot.....so when Zenyatta beats her there is no excuse ( :

A match race would be horribly unfair to the slow to get moving Zenyatta, if anything she should be given the weight break

Its perfectly fair, if Zenyatta is the real deal then she should win.

Zenyatta is to Easy Goer as RA is to Sunday Silence.....and in each case and in this the better horse will prove out.

No, they didn't want it " souped up. " I imagine the two inches of rain we got Friday, in about 15 minutes, had something to do with that.

You really should know better.

As should Tom Durkin when, despite the circumstances, he starts screaming about Rachel setting a stakes record.

Embarassing? I don't really see that. Poor Tom can't get any love. I thought it was a great call.

You know, I **** with Vic Stauffer whenever I get a chance to on this forum

but compared to VS, Durkin not only comes across as a DOOFUS in his calls but a clueless one at that. He must really believe that his audience is less knowledgeable than even he is when it comes to races.

I'm at the point where I actually miss Marshall Cassidy, the ultimate DOOFUS race caller. And, if Imbriale would time the start a little better (he's on internet start time) I might want him as the 1st string NY race caller.

Definitely time for Durkin to hang it up. Maybe we can get Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr to run up at Sar and send Durkin out in style.

At the risk of invoking what is, by far, the worst memory I have of any race, this is much more like Bayakoa and Go For Wand. That was easily the most eagerly anticipated BC race that year, and for 95% of the way it lived up to its billing.

I am creeped out just typing that observation.

Cassidy was great. You had to love how in a sprint race, they would be crossing the finish line and he'd be saying "they're off". Seriously, I thought he was the second best I've ever heard behind Denman.
