I went to 1, and then I went last night, unbelievable energy.

I see Rene Douglas this morning and he starts talking to me about the Hawks, and who walks up to talk to Douglas, Denis Savard. KARMA!!!

You sure picked a good one.
I'm not much of a hockey guy, but I watched the game last night....and actually enjoyed it.

I knew nothing about hockey until I went to a game and I am hooked on live hockey now, people get so jacked up, my type of atmosphere, people were NUTTY last night.

I actually picked up the game pretty quickly now, as I think I understand it. The only hilarious thing that I didn't understand was TMM last night but now I do. My eyes just needed to adjust to the quickness, used to watching baseball :)

Yeah, the few times I have been to live hockey games, I have really enjoyed it.
But, whenever I try watching hockey on TV (with the exception of last night) boredom usually forces me to flip over to a Family Guy re-run after about 5 minutes.

There is absolutely nothing like playoff hockey. I have been to playoff games involving all 4 sports, and by far hockey was the best one.

The loudest ovation last night was Rocky Wirtz. All people want is the perception that the organization gives a ****. When the old man was around, he could get a ****, now this guy takes over and the Hawks are back.

I imagine, playoff college football would be right up there. Too bad we'll never know...

Playoff Rankings for "nuttiness" :

NHL
NFL
MLB
You would have to pay me to attend a NBA playoff game.

I'll even be generous, since we're just starting this conversation this year, and let you retroactively use my life up to this point. Let me know if 26 years is enough to come up with something notable.

No? Who knew?

Ok. Get back to me.

The Hawks will win the Cup when Coragil Cat wins a race..

oh...wait

What are you getting at? That even if they actually finally do win something, it will be a complete fluke and they won't really deserve it?

I guess we'll feel pretty much the same way if it actually happens then!

Stop it, you know they are good now and just a few years away from being a cup contender, if not this year...

I've never said they weren't "good."

I just don't think they should be winning a Stanley Cup at this point.

And more importantly, I plain old just don't want them to because I hate them and would gladly take any of the remaining teams over them.

Simple enough.

so why dont you start your own thread..this one is about the hawks and how well they are doing..dont know if the brian spencer curse has enough to bring them down..

slotdirt 05-13-2009 09:23 AM

I'm hoping and praying for an original six/Norris Western Conference finals, but if the Ducks are continued to be allowed to thug up the Wings series without reprecussions, I doubt that will come to fruition.

Dude, I'm not going to start my own thread. That's silly and you know it. If I post about a horse upstairs and you don't like it, you're not going to start a different thread just to disagree, you're going to say it right there.

Lighten up.

And a Brian Spencer curse isn't what will bring them down -- not being good enough will, but I'll enjoy it all the same and will certainly take credit for it if you'd like me to.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-13-2009 11:42 AM

they will win it all
