They made a pretty good movie about that, called Windtalkers I think, Nicholas Cage was in it.

They made a bad movie based on the book called Windtalkers. As is usually the case, the book was tons better than the flick.

This book is called The Navajo Code Talkers by Doris Paul . Its not all that great of writing the but the stories told verbatum by the Navajos are awesome.

I'll have to check when I get home and see if that is the one I read.
