They will fail to do so this season....and I believe nothing guarantees their future.

All they have done is make it possible to get the right players...now they have to do that.A lot harder to do.

There's no brilliance involved here that I can see. In fact..this year could well be a disaster.

Yes, they locked up Hamilton today which was smart. No free agent would come without at least a semblance of a nucleus in place. They are building around stuckey, hamilton and prince in the short run and their pitch to a free agent would be that he could come in and be an instant superstar on a winning team.

Not true at all....I don't see why they could not have at least equaled last year.

The brilliance is finding a team that will give you an expiring contract of 20 million dollars for two players that are approaching mid thirties and locked up for years to come.

On top of that, the expiring 20 million dollar contract is for a guy that can actually still play a little and is still popular among some fans.

Difficult to accomplish both.

Because mort, they are a year older with no significant free agent acquisitions with a switch to a coach that has never coached.

Many of the other contenders improved.

BRILLIANCE??

I still don't see that.

The Cavs unloaded a whole lot more baggage than that when they sent Kemp off to the Northwest and no one was calling ,I forgot his name, the GM brilliant then.

The other team stupid,maybe.

That is conjecture ; mine holds up just as well as yours.

One thing is for sure; they step back this year.

For sure.

LOL.

We are at an impasse. Nothing further needs to be said. I will accept the vaporization. At least I understand your point.

Oh so it wasn't a vaporization.

You have seen Skids lately? Now that was a vaporization.

It's been fun--thank you so much.

I see the WristPins won last night.

Someone let Meth..I mean Math know.

King Glorious 01-10-2009 02:54 PM

Pistons have quietly won seven of eight, the big one being last night's win AT Denver. Iverson led the Pistons with 23, including 10 in the fourth quarter. The Pistons have been doing this withouth Hamilton and Wallace.

dalakhani 04-22-2009 10:03 PM

I saw that iverson was brought up in another thread and i am too inept to link this thread to that thread so i am giving this one a bump.
