some people do across the board bets, others don't care for them. if you're that convinced he'd win, like dahoss said, build a multi-race bet around him as your lone single-altho if there was a day to look to bet against, today is it. he's in deeper today than ever, and his last few to many eyes is nothing like what he ran early in the spring. so if he's on a downhill cycle, or a flat one, he's really up against it today. as for your tri, i'd imagine anyone who is infatuated with big brown would do the same bb/all/all as you, so i don't see it really paying off for you. |

you can say it as many times as you like, i would still disagree. azeri is the only mare to ever win hoy without facing males, but that was a year with no clear cut top male horse. this year is nothing like that. if big brown loses, curlin will get hoy, regardless of what zenyatta does. curlin may well get it even if big brown wins the classic-if big brown should lose today.

I put the 2 to get a minor piece and underneath on the exacta

i'm not giving up all hope at this point for a curlin/big brown showdown. would certainly take care of the debate. but after today, even before todays finish, i felt zenyattas only chance at hoy is to try the classic--and i really like her too. just don't think she'd get the votes over the other two. |

Nobody cares about Big Brown? Really? They got 17,000 plus. I told you they'd have north of 10,000. Why do you think the fans came out, just like they have in all of Big Brown's races? He is a very popular horse. |

Proud Spell was not better than the late Eight Bells. That's she wasn't entered in the Derby. Big Brown beat Eight Bells by five at the wire, |
roller doc, you're taking a lot of people to task who have a lot more knowledge and have followed this sport a hell of a lot longer than you have. you're pretty presumptuous to think you can tell most of the people on this board anything-i can't believe that someone with your admitted lack of experience feels that you have the wherewithal to dress down some of the people here. it's absurd. i'd say most here have seen horses with big browns talent before, as well as plenty of horses over the years' with far more talent than him. it seems to be the general consensus on this board that big brown is indeed the top 3 yo male this year. maybe you could live with that, and get over it already.

RollerDoc, sincere kudos to you on your Big Brown passion here. You've faced board adversity, and today you were absolutely frickin' right. Not only did Big Brown just win today, he looked of class, strength and regalism from the paddock to the Winner's Circle. |

I'm taking nobody to task. I'm just addressing all of the posts from earlier that are opposite of mine. Because of my brief time here, doesn't preclude me from voicing an opinion with any poster I have regardless of who it is. When did this Board become a Country Club. If it is and I have misunderstood, then kick me out if it makes you feel good. |
