It was Alymeba..I remember now.

I think Debbie can't wait for me to come home again.

I have 15 calls from my neighbors.

Mortimer 08-27-2008 08:23 PM

I have one more left....who wants it?

Mortimer 08-27-2008 08:29 PM

Please....no shoving and pushing.

Blech.

I knew I was popular.

Perhaps the last laugh is on me.

cowgirlintexas 08-27-2008 08:35 PM

Here are some of your comments made in a thread in the Politics section of the board. Let me make this clear to you people. The majority of you say pretty much the same thing(FCK BOTH PARTIES-SCREW POLITICS.) That's not as interesting as you seem to think. Pretty much one person can speak for the group of you.

That speech didn't help Obama one bit.
Your party is full of f.ucktards.

I think this country is f.ucked either way. It really doesn't matter who is in office.

I'd put my ballot in her box.

No hanging chad here.

I'm voting for McCain. 4 more years of ridiculous posts by SCUDS in the politics forum.

So all in all, a peachy outlook.
Tomorrow has me all excited.

I like both the candidates.
This is not GW v. John Kerry.
Both parties give us what we want on the whole.
Otherwise they would do things differently.
They research what people want to hear.
And they speak accordingly.

It is not all together clear why people search for
a way to hate the candidate they dont wish to vote for.
Probably because its easier just to call something crappy
and be done with it.

Clinton, as always, showed why he is considered one of the best orators in the last fifty years.

Biden is currently showing that he is about the worst. This is sickening.

He really is extraordinary.
He reminds me of this preacher we have here in San Antonio, John Hagee.
Now this Hagee, about everything he says I find repulsive.
But the man is so good. He just weaves a sermon that is captivating.
He speaks extraordinarily well. His intonation and timing are incredible.
But the substance of what he is actually saying is sickening.

BTW I think it will be terribly interesting if McCain picks Lieberman as his running mate.

What's ridiculous is to tell people that the parties are in any way equal. A child could examine the Supreme Court Justices chosen by each President and see very large differences in the way these people vote on important issues So, you're simply dead wrong, and the rest of these people saying this crap(parties are the same) are also. For the most part, we have a very ignorant electorate. You want another a-hole like Scalia making decisions about the way we live? They asked McCain which justices he wouldn't have appointed. He never said a damn thing about Scalia....nooooooo. He mentioned 3 of the Supreme Court justices nominated by Clinton. When people come on here and say Presidential Elections don't matter much, they simply show their ignorance. I don't want another Scalia. Given a chance to say Scalia was somebody he wouldn't have nominated, McCain didn't do it. That's a huge difference between the 2 candidates, and the 2 parties. Scalia is the worst Supreme Court Justice ever, and Obama would say that. McCain didn't even mention him as one of the 3 he wouldn't of nominated. Huuuuuuge
difference.

No way he will take Lieberman. Again, the differences between the moderate Republican and the Conservative Democrat (or whatever Joe calls himself) are huge(not minor.) There are huge differences on major core issues. Again, if you asked each which was the worst Supreme Court Nomination, their answers would be totally opposite. How could you possibly think they could be on the same ticket?Just because Joe likes the war in IRAQ doesn't mean he is gunna agree enough with McCain to be on his ticket. I'd have no problem with Joe as President(which could happen if McCain kicks it.) So, I will hope you're right, but I would be shocked if he took him on the ticket. He needs to keep those states in the south red, and Lieberman( a Jew) weakens that a bit. There are many people who think some southern states would have gone to Gore if he hadn't had a Jew on the ticket. Hard to know if that's true or not.

You can marry your boyfriend and your surrogate can abort 20 babies for all I care. It's an issue that most americans don't care enough about to swing their vote.

Also liberal judges have allowed for ridiculous invasions of privacy as well. Take your blinders off.

What exactly are you going for here? More vague liberal talking points?

Are you mainlining or something?

Whaaaaah.

I don't think any poster on here said elections don't matter. They do matter, just not in a positive way.

My opinion is that far less important issues like gay rights, abortion, religion, and drugs have been a horrible distraction for the american people. Both parties have used these issues to keep us out of sorts while they f.uck us real good on the things that matter most.

Like jobs, immigration (jobs), health care, social security, and national security/foreign policy.

Both parties fail tremendously in these areas. Please feel free to tell me otherwise. I need a good laugh.

ArlJim78 08-28-2008 08:29 AM

every election cycle you hear claims early on that immigration is really going to matter this time, yet it never happens.

i haven't watched any of this convention, and won't watch the repubs either, I just can't stomach all the BS. but I caught on the news that they can't fit Obama's massive ego inside the convention hall, so his acceptance speech will be at the football stadium on a huge stage that would make superbowl half-time organizers blush, and in front of 85,000 people. they showed the stage and it looks like this show might dwarf the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. if this guy gets elected they'll need a new White House, much much larger and more audacious.

Antitrust32 08-28-2008 08:30 AM

I'm writing in Coach Pants for president.

There will be a "greek" backdrop, and I have it on good authority he'll be wearing a toga!

IMO, both parties have succeeded in manipulating the masses into thinking there is no alternative to a Republican or Democrat. I think Scuds and CoachPants would both be in agreement.

I can't watch these conventions either, too scripted and boring.
