If that were true, then you wouldn't be constantly frontloading your tickets just to stay alive through the early legs.

Joe,
You should just stop. A while back you sent me a sad message about how your parents died in a car crash and how despite inheriting $12,000,000 you were still unhappy.

Instead of making up internet stories about your sad ass self you should do something positive for yourself to fix whatever ails you.

If you do have kids, there is nothing that says that just because their mother doesn't love you cannot be a good father.

Whatever your true story is, grow up, you whiny little phuck.

OMG!

no kidding, i told you how earlier. do you think i work? the idea in the pics is to raid the pool. i told you before. if you had pics with Big Brown singled. you are doing what everyone is doing. if he wins the pic is like 58 bucks. i had that, but i also had an all ticket. the obvious is for folks that don't cash big tickets. i'm giving away secrets here , i should write a book!

Coach Pants 06-11-2008 12:18 PM

thats obvious. i don't make any money unless i win .

call it what you want , he asked, i need people in the pool that love horses like Big brown. i laugh at most public handicappers. they willl give you mostly chalk all day. guess what, the chalk wins 1 out of 3, this game does not take a genius, it takes imagination. i'm 45 and retired are you ?

Ok well I just finished up “Not by a long shot” by td thornton, thought it was a great book (even though he kinda floats out to left field with some of his paragraphs).
Heading to vegas next month and I figured I’d try to hone my “handicapping” skills a little.

Exotic Betting is #1 on my list, but I don’t wanna order only 1 book from BN.com, might as well get a few, but nothing is really jumping out at me. Here are some others I was thinking about

Handicapping the Wall Street Way by Mark Ripple
Value Betting at the Racetrack by David Johnson
Expert Handicapping, Revised Edition by Dave Litfin
Bet With the Best II by Daily Racing Form (I have read volume 1)
Best of Thoroughbred Handicapping by James Quinn
Handicapping for Bettor or Worse by John Lindley
Handicapping Contest Handbook by Noel Michaels

If anyone has any feedback on any of those I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

I read the handicapping contest book and it was ok. I got a couple of little things out of it. I guess if you are going into enter a lot of contests it might be worth while. If you aren't it's probably a waste.
I also tried honing my skills a bit by taking a little reading refresher course. I read exotic betting and thought I got alot out of the book. Then I read handicapping 101 by Brad Free. Sure there was alot of things that I understood already. But there were some other things that I thought I got out of the book. Mainly in the speed and class areas. Also I will look at firsters different now. They were both informative and quick easy reads. Now if I could find a book on how to get me out of the house for the weekend, I would be in good shape.

The Tuttle Way: Applied Methodologies On "How To" Interpret The Racing Form From A Winning Horseplayer by Joseph J Tuttle (Paperback - May 14, 2008)

** seems like this tuttle guy has a couple books out there and they seem to get solid reviews
