I can't see how having sex with the Mom or sister could make the situation any worse...AND...it will probably help your win % at OTB.

Lots of upside ........

So what have you decided to do? I do strongly urge you start taking your children to the track, whatever else you decide.

One of the things you will learn in therapy is not to be so selfish..move over and give Irish and Spyder a shot...if things work out right..you could end up being related to one or both of them!

My $.02: You say you have had a normal childhood, but you have gambled all your life. Somethings not right there. Your relationship has very little chance IMO, but best of luck. Right now your main concern should be your kids. Instead of just "seeing" them 2-3 times a week, try to actually spend some real time with them. Using your sons birthdate as a moniker is not a substitute for real love. Give them some of you. Maybe just spend half the time that you do online here with them instead. You will all be better off for it.

I'm pretty damned normal and I've gambled all my life

If your talking marbles or something I understand, but if your betting cash before you're 10, I don't know. There are exceptions to every rule.

We used to bet horses, football games, college basketball, you name it by the time I was in 7th grade. I remember one of the first things we did every monday morning at school was buy the Post and find out the line on the upcoming Bills game :D

TheSpyder 06-10-2008 08:11 AM

Although my mom took me to the track when I was seven and gave me a few dollars to bet on horses a couple times, I didn't start really going to the track until I was 14 when I would skip school and hitch to the Big T about 3-4 times a week. By 15 I was there just about every day.

So I guess I'm OK.

Getting 2.00 from Gramps to bet a horse to show aint what I call gambling, thats just child care.
