Funny that those Stronach people forgot to mention that Harlem Rocker will be running in the Queen's Plate June 22nd, five weeks after the possible Preakness start. (As opposed to the Belmont June 7, two weeks before the Queen's Plate).

may not be a bunch of world beaters in there (save BB), but it's no walkover with a field that's nearly full--at this point.

slotdirt 05-09-2008 01:27 PM

The fuller the field, the more variables to throw in the equation. I still don't see a horse that can beat him, though Hey Byrn was quite impressive earlier this spring prior to the Florida Derby flop.

after that derby performance i thought for sure it was gonna be a light field, but these guys are throwing darts at him now. What this field lacks quality it makes up for in quantity

I wouldn't exactly call finishing 4th a flop

hockey2315 05-09-2008 01:48 PM

I would.

NoLuvForPletch 05-09-2008 01:58 PM

You all crack me up...the horse was fourth choice and finished fourth (not fourteenth and Zito might say)...

He was a lot further back in that race that he had been in his previous races...he put in a decent enough run before flattening out...

hockey2315 05-09-2008 02:01 PM

If I had his PPs in front of me my response would be:

"He was beaten X number of lengths with a Y beyer. . ."

Kasept 05-09-2008 02:32 PM

Riley Tucker to the Preakness...

Macho Uno heads for OH Derby...

Harlem Rocker the last "?"...

X = 15 3/4, Y = 80.

tiggerv 05-09-2008 02:41 PM

Is Pletcher deciding tomorrow?

excuse my ignorance, but any chance we now see 4/5 or even money on big brown with 12 entries?

2/5 at the highest.

Hickory Hill Hoff 05-09-2008 03:37 PM

Gonna use Yankee Bravo in the runner-up spot much like Midway Road in '03.

miraja2 05-09-2008 04:20 PM

He probably will be about 2/5 and if he is, he might just be the best value in the race.
He should easily be 1/9 against these mules.
